I have to wonder if the high pay of the few at the top would really make a difference to rank & file workers if it was evened out a little more. Does anyone have any figures for this?
Yo Burnie. Who is greedy here? Who is asking for a 47% raise and a 32 hour work week with a 40 hour paycheck. You old commie bass turds need to knock off all the hypocrisy. You’re the greedy ones. Fighting against the American workers and their RIGHT TO WORK. All of you commies need your asses thrown out of the country. You’re not Americans.
This is like cutting your own throat.
American brands are already getting beaten by all the foreign manufacturers. This may end up being the last nail in their coffin.
The Biden administration is making up to $12 billion available for automakers to retrofit their facilities to make electric vehicles and hybrids
The activist government is putting workers out on the street. (While an electric car consists of some 200 parts, there are more than 1,000 parts in gasoline or diesel vehicles).
Reliability is another issue. VW lay8ng off workers due to lack of demand for Evs

+++++++++++++
The only big three vehicles worth spit are large SUV’s / pickups with V8 engines. As previously noted in this thread those vehicles are north of $70K. Chrysler got rid of their decent Challenger platform to go all in on the EV stupidity. They can all go to hell as far as I’m concerned. At least Toyota (#1 car maker on the planet) isn’t going full bore stupid like US manufacturers.
When is GOVERNMENT GREED going to end?
Didn’t he have an Audi R8 at one time?
Communists always preach the game but never do the same.
Mebbe. Not that spun up on Mr. Grifter’s acquisitions.
Bernie offered to give me his extra houses free of charge—because he did not want to be “greedy” and “selfish”.
Lol.
Seems like I saw something along those lines.
More than a few years ago.
I just did a little math:
There are 150,000 UAW workers. NOT all are on strike....
IF the CEO of one of the Big Three is making $20 million a year-—
Change that to $10 M a year-—
Divide $10 million by 150,000 UAW workers
IT === $66.66 a YEAR extra for a UAW worker.
IF all 3 CEO’s did the same -—$30 million divided by 150,000 UAW workers=====$199.98 a YEAR increase in workers wages.
Apparently-—NO MEMBER OF THE UNION is smart enough to do this math. Instead they are demanding a result that will end their jobs when it all falls apart.
When I was MUCH younger-—a job came with UNION membership & dues. They were NOT any smarter then, either.
One strike for 50 Cents an hour more ended up at 5 cents more in the contract...and the money we lost when striking was NEVER made up.
Pretty sure Bernie doesn’t understand dividend to stock holders..........
OH WAIT !!! Obama killed the former Gm & gave the stock to THE UNION.
What a great investment—I guess GM union members are suing THEMSELVES for more pay ?????
Apparently,NO ONE explained to Bernie the results of what OBAMA did to GM.....
OBAMA DESTROYED the original GM.
Wiped out many suppliers who NEVER got paid for parts they had already delivered.
GAVE THE STOCK OF THE “NEW GM” TO THE UNIONS——
SO THE STOCK HOLDERS BERNIE IS CALLING GREEDY-—are the union members themselves-—or did all that stock magically go somewhere else??? Pelosi???
Howzabout the union leadership gets a pay cut. I figure they’re making 2-3 times what the average worker bee makes.
An excellent reminder. Some info, by date of article:
GM, Chrysler Get Ultimatum From Obama on Turnaround Mar 30, 2009The same may be said about the whole "green" energy in Obama's time with Solyndra, being repeated now with Proterra.GM Collapses Into Government's Arms Jun 2, 2009
Obama's Auto Bailout Was Really a Hefty Union Payoff Oct 17, 2012
GM and the Obama Administration Took Taxpayers for a Ride Oct 17, 2013
Government. Losing taxpayers money and piling on debt for the few, chosen and well-connected. For purely corrupt, political reasons. ,p. Then, as now.
Yeah. And there is no greed in the UAW demands..
I remember a union steward I worked with way back when saying, "They don't care about us." I replied, "Since when do you think they are supposed to care about us?"
When have they ever cared about America or the workers. That is not the function of a corporation. It's function is to produce goods or services and make a profit for its shareholders, many of whom are able to buy stock in the company themselves via 401Ks.
Dies the old communist really believe that his support is helping the cause of the auto workers?
