The trans issue is a mental health issue. It doesn’t really get more complicated than that until they started mutilating people, especially kids, to placate their mental issue rather than deal with the root cause of this form of mental impairment.
Some men are effeminate. Some are really girly but they will never be a female. You know, that whole science thing gets in the way of that. Some women are butch. So what. Deal with it ladies. Be gay or own your tom boy status or both.
Expecting the general population to go along with this mental issue known as gender dysphoria is what is truly insane.
On the whole I prefer not talking with idiots, especially on the record, but Trump is not averse, which may be why he is successful in many ways.
He would sound better if he wasn’t talking with idiots on their ground, but that is the way of the world.
He could do better if he could find better people, but I don’t think he is overlooking a huge pool of willing talent of a much greater calibre.
I’d probably rather have the author as a teacher than Trump, but teachers do need to remember to climb out of ivory towers every now and again.

The root of the response was such that it wouldn’t necessarily alienate any possible voters with different ideals. If he said flat out no then those potential votes are gone, if he said flat out yes, we’ll he’d be done as a viable candidate.
If I or anyone else were running, we would produce a similar word salad.
Yes, it would have been far better if he could have stated that men are men and women are women and you can't change your chromosomes, but that's also exactly what they wanted him to do.
