Musk is an often careless and proud person. Acting out of grievance, he just gave the left ammunition, and made himself a useful idiot of the campaign of the ADL and Neo-Nazis.

Musk blamed these groups for “a massive drop in revenue, due to activist groups pressuring advertisers, even though nothing has changed with content moderation and we did everything we could to appease the activists.”

Recently Musk rebooted these claims, but instead of addressing all of these groups which are still pressuring Twitter advertisers to drop their ads, he decided to blame only the ADL.

So what?

Elon Musk Blames Jews for a Boycott Funded by a Non-Jewish Tech Billionaire

To call blaming the ADL to "blaming Jews" seems like an attempt to paint Musk as someone who just generically blames Jewish people. If this was not the intent behind the headline, then the headline is at the least irresponsible.

And while the ADL is a reprehensible group, there are currently 60 organizations in the #StopToxicTwitter coalition representing a range of leftist groups. Musk apparently decided it was easier to target the ADL.

Musk needs to reverse his mistake here... Our battle is against the toxic commie left...not just one group. While we're talking about large groups of left wing nuts it'd be nice to see an article by Daniel Greenfield on how these groups are supported by 'grants' funded by all American taxpayers.

What this says to me is that we should be advertising on X. Rates should be low. The audience skews conservative. Have at it.

Grievance? The truth is, the Perpetual Grievances Machine has been reduced to a meme ... it is exhausted, over, finished. You know it, the ADL knows it, the ACLU knows it, the NAACP knows it, the SPLC knows it.

Breaking news: The under-50 crowd who worships Musk? No idea what you are talking about.

You enjoy the rest of your evening...

Elon Mush does not blame “Jews”, he blames the ADL, which like all such groups, like the NAACP, claim to represent a certain demographic consituency, when no one in that constituency elected them to be their “representatives” and in truth the organization represents itself and no one else, and often is a cover for a biased political agenda.

Why is this a problem? Nobody is required to use Twitter. If they want to boycott so what? It doesn’t affect me at all - just less random garbage that makes its way into my feed. No different than all the folks here who boycott bud light.

Elon is free to sue anyone he wants. In fact that is what he does. Hire expensive lawyers and seek damages. Good luck with that.

On the bigger question I don’t think Twitter should suppress any viewpoints except perhaps those actively promoting terrorism. Let the Nazis Commies Islamo Fascists tweet all they want. Tweet back the truth. That’s the nature of the free exchange of ideas. You get the hood with the bad. The ADL is wrong but that doesn’t mean don’t have the freedom to be wrong.

The #ADL has been an embarrassment if not counterproductive for the last two decades. They almost go out of their way to promote #antisemitism on the right and protect it on the left. They aren’t pushing Facebook to do anything about anti-Semitism even though it’s a cesspool of antisemitism and anti-Zionism. If you don’t believe me, just look up the words Zionism, Netanyahu, or Khazarian. There are people updating the blood libel on Facebook and no one gives a damn herem

None of that means that #ElonMusk was right with his stupid self-destructive posts. He needs a wake up call and an adult in the room to rein in his capricious tendencies and narcissism.
I shouldn’t have to explain this, but so many people these days are so grievance addled that they don’t understand the difference between fighting and winning. Fighting poorly can actually be worse than doing nothing. It should be intuitive, but if it isn’t for you, there are over 3,000 years of military and political history proving this. Angrily lashing out with no thought is not winning. It’s counterproductive whining. I’m happy to have Twitter “on our side,” but it doesn’t change the fundamental flaws of #Twitter. Along with memes, it’s a cancer on the body politic destroying reasoned discussion and eventually rational political thought.
