He actively campaigned for a few politicians - all Democrats. He regularly dissed Trump at his concerts, thus pissing off at least half his fans.
When you consider how entertainers claim to want to spread love and peace, and are in a position to influence massive numbers of people, it amazes me to see them choose to spread Trump-hate instead.
The weird thing is that he would be willing to trade 100% adulation from his adoring fans - for getting booed off the stage - then do it again at the next concert.
I could see that if you were a metal band touring the big city venues - but his music crossed over heavily into country & western, so his tours took him through a lot of red state venues.
He oiled his hair with lard.
I’ll give kudos to him for his efforts to get that young marine freed from Mexico back in 2014 when the Obama administration did nothing.
