This has nothing to do with SF. They are buying farmland and undeveloped property to build their utopia. I am betting the the environmentalist wont make a peep because they are fully funded by the same people.
Whatever they build it will have a big beautiful wall around it and probably a mote all guarded by a private army.
They’ll need those. Solan o ain’t got access to much of anything. Those folks want sh land not a big city
And everyone will work on Soviet-style kolkhozes.
Google “chinese ghost cities” for a preview.
Have you noticed Klaus Schwab and his World Enslavement Forum have never said anything about exterminating people over a certain age , it’s because Klaus is like 83
It’s doubtful that any elites will be residing there. That area is pretty flat and bleak, mostly treeless. Good spot for an Air Force base, but not a scenic hideaway by any means.
It is on the Capitol Corridor so you ride Amtrak from Silicon Valley.
I believe that over the long run cities that just evolve do better than planned cities. There is always something artificial that can be sensed about planned cities.
Wasn’t this tried multiple times in the 1800s?
A good question.
For some time I have believed that this is not the only place being destroyed and its inhabitants ruined so that certain interests can purchase the land at a low cost.
Doe’s the terterm firesale” ring a bell?
And they will have gas stoves also, bet on it.
And maked their own booze, whether beer or white liquor in fruit jars.
In my youth........
Shiteopolis!
There was a video floating around the internet a while back.
Guy on it was talking about how the riots of 2020 were targeted to certain areas, in certain cities. All in an attempt to destroy the areas, lower property values and set the stage for the rich to buy up all of it and redevelop it.
They used the riots to buy everything .... https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cu4GOiFNycG/
I guess some intrepid reporter will have to do some research things.
That was my first thought too.
Such a city can be made to work for the elites if they give up the streets to the common rabble, living and working in the tall towers and never going out at ground level.
The cities of Soylent Green, Logan's Run, Metropolis come to mind too.
Won’t work!!!!
They are WEF oligarchs, not civil engineers with project management experience. Yes political influence can destroy a city, country, and culture, but it can’t build and maintain any of those things.
AI and algorithms can’t put on a roof, fix plumbing, maintain landscaping, fix toilets, or babysit your children.
Paradise.
Doesn’t FORBES have something like this in Colorado?
