Both DeSantis and Trump are essentially on the same side, and a quarrel between allies is never persuading for either side. There are, of course, differences in emphasis and messaging between these rivals on many levels, but the relative accomplishments of each should be respected. A quibble whether Dr. Anthony Fauci should have been fired early on during the COVID-19 (manufactured) crisis, or whether the restrictions were lifted too quickly in Florida, does not resolve into any furthering of the interests of either, and the apparent ingratitude of DeSantis for running for President when he said he would not, or the shunning of the warm welcome given Trump when he relocated his official residence to Mar-a-Lago on a full-time basis, should not be the subject of contention, and simply shoved into the background.
