“A proposed Consumer Product Safety Commission rule limits the amount of carbon monoxide a product can emit, with the commission admitting that 95 percent of portable gas generators on the market cannot comply with its new standard.”
For you people who thought that the worst that can happen if the RINOs are replaced by Democrats was that you could simply ‘live off the grid’, well, I have some news:
THEY WILL NOT PERMIT IT.
Like it or not, they’ll take you guys down...probably before the others.
It would be a Woodstove, Gas appliance (including portable and standby generators) registry.
If you are using this for your home, how is it tied in?
I’ve heard so many so-so reviews that I’m a bit gun shy, how has this brand worked for you?
Thanks for this helpful reply
Committee’s such as THESE NEED TO BE REMOVED by EO or other methods after 2024!!!
Get one that runs on windmills and solar power and you’ll be okay..................
Yep. Preppers are their ENEMY...................
There’s no way the oligarchs will allow any America First candidate to win again. We are now a Banana Republic.
lol, I’d have to hire a team of lawyers and an engineering firm to battle the HOA, so pass.
it’ll be something like that.........
IT’ll be one more thing that will need to be registered/inspected etc......
don;t forget the annual $279 required safety course in handling of flammable liquids that will be required for each person who will use the generator.
then of course, there will be fingerprint recognition devices on the ignition switch to ensure only authorized people touch them.
That would be Crack Town....................
HOA’s can be dissolved....................
The State of Florida probably has a large percentage of the portable gas generators in circulation.
In Florida after a hurricane comes thru, it doesn’t even have to be a severe hurricane, if the power goes out, the portable generators start up, you can keep a refrigerator running and perhaps a fan or two, etc...just enough to make it comfortable until the power comes back on.
In my neighborhood they’re 178 homes, I bet 100 have portable generators ready to go in case we lose power this summer.
Many here have Generacs.................
“Yep. Preppers are their ENEMY...................”
Yep, so much for ‘Plan B’, now what, guys? Do you plan to live in caves or something?
Yeh, I live in Texas, DFW Metroplex. Since the big freeze I’ve been thinking about installing a Generac generator. Guess I need to get off the dime and get it done.
Gas stoves/appliances are great IF you are already HEATING your house & water with natural gas or Propane.
Where I live in NH there is no natural gas line in front of my house. I live on a rural road. Most likely there will never be a gas line in front of my house. Of the three single family houses I have owned here, none had a gas line. So, I have always heated my houses with a combination of heating oil and wood stoves or pellets stoves.
Propane tends to be more expensive on average than heating oil. The benefit of propane is that you can also run a quick recovery domestic hot water heater and a standby generator.
My daughter has this in their house. Their generator is hooked up directly to the underground 1000 gallon propane tank. It could run their house for three weeks if the tank was full.
I have a Honda Inverter gasoline generator. IMHO, it and Yamaha make the best gasoline generators you can buy. Inverter generators put out a consistent AC current. They are not prone to surges up or down. Therefore, making them much safer to use sensitive electronic equipment like computers and big screen TVs.
However, like ANY gasoline engine they are only as good as you maintain them. You need to change the oil. Preferably with full synthetic. You need to clean the air filter. Keep the battery charged. That way WHEN you actually need it. It starts.
Dual fuel doubles your chances of survival. Wonder if that little rule is going to find the Aviation transportation industry. Most larger jets have an on board APU. Auxiliary Power Unit, that is a power generator when the engines are off, and provide power to start the engines when air carts and ground power generators are not available. \
Why do you suppose they go after the little guy first? Hmmmm?
Make sure you are aware and WILLING to engage the Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn method of tyranny aversion, because it is beginning to raise it’s ugly head.
“What would things been like [in Russia] if during periods of mass arrests people had not simply sat there, paling with terror at every bang on the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but understood they had nothing to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people?”
He has many quotes worthy of learning.
When a disaster happens the Left will send in extermination squads to exterminate the survivors
“guess I need to get a duel fuel genny”
I was going to suggest this one that I bought in 2019 and is still going strong:
“DuroMax XP4400EH Dual Fuel Portable Generator-4400 Watt Gas or Propane Powered Electric Start-Camping & RV Ready, 50 State Approved, Blue and Black”
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009RBKGZC/ref=asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
but I paid $430 and now they’re $727. Same price at Walmart. I can’t believe prices on stuff these days.
Quick! Tell Briben that LBGTQ+ and people of color adore using their gas stoves for creating all sorts of delectable meals for their friends and lovers.
