Doesn’t your reserve have to be packed by professionals?

I would become a professional first.

It doesn’t sound like they are rescuing anybody. They’re just looking around. Was this just to distract from Hunter Biden?

The deepest underwater rescue attempted was 1,575 ft. These guys are around 12,000 ft. Those are the facts. Everything else is just hopium.

But it's an alarming indication of just how stupid, shortsighted and slack the whole planning and operation of the vessel has been. You're right about that. Every year we hear about fools who leave Ft. Lauderdale trying to go to the Bahamas with hardly any preparations at all. Things like: no radio, no life jackets, no food, no water ...

“ — and was run with a $40 videogame controller.“
I remember when people used to brag about mil-spec this and mil-spec that in stuff that wasn’t t going anywhere dangerous or doing anything critical. I expected the three or four controllers we bought m’boy to fail and I wasn’t disappointed. This sub guy is shaping up to be a real MORON.

Well understanding what's entailed in this rescue and the huge difficulties some said a couple days ago it has maybe 1% chance of being rescued. So even if they find it now that percentage has dropped.
No I don't think this has anything to do with distracting from Hunter. The world is watching this happening as they have others like it where people have been in dire trouble.

Seems like that vehicle should have been tested more. Only been down 3 times. Not well characterized.

Few know that it’s not like their banging on steel. It’s not made of steel rather some sort of man made material where it would sound like hitting a block of wood.
