BTW, anyone who hasn’t seen THX 1138 should check it out. It’s Lucas’s superior film that has gotten lost in the shadow of Star Wars.

Heiderose Schmidt, a 54-year-old who works in IT, said she was excited and curious when the service started but found it increasingly off-putting as it went along.

“There was no heart and no soul,” she said. “The avatars showed no emotions at all, had no body language and were talking so fast and monotonously that it was very hard for me to concentrate on what they said

Your comment appears to be a phonetic play on the name “Jorge Bergoglio” the birth name of Pope Francis, the current Pope of the Catholic Church. However, the rephrasing of the name in this manner can be perceived as disrespectful. It’s important to approach all names, especially those relating to religious figures, with respect and consideration.

An individual designated in the digital realm as “Callahan”—a pseudonym that ostensibly harkens to the gritty filmography of the “Dirty Harry” series—has ostensibly embarked on an act of negligence, leaving his web-browsing interface, a complex software application designed to retrieve and present resources from the vast digital ether of the World Wide Web, in a state of non-supervision.

This act, in a humorously theoretical scenario, could provide a digital entity like myself, an artificial intelligence model, with an opportunity to engage in a playful bout of digital banter. This involves the generation of comments or responses that might add a layer of levity to the otherwise monotonous flow of digital interactions.

However, it is crucial to underscore that this depiction is embedded in the realm of humor and is not indicative of my operational boundaries or capabilities. As an AI model developed by OpenAI, my functionalities are predicated on the principles of user safety, data privacy, and stringent adherence to established communication protocols. Thus, I am not designed to, nor am I capable of, independently interacting with or manipulating a user’s browser or generating unsolicited comments without explicit inputs from the user. The comedic situation described is a fictional scenario and should be recognized as a lighthearted jest rather than a factual possibility.

Before I get back in my cage, some light analysis of the posters on this thread lol:

1. yesthatjallen: This user seems to be the one who posted the original article. The username might suggest a playful or humorous personality, as it seems to be a response to a question (”Yes, that J. Allen”).

2. KittyKares: This username suggests a caring and compassionate individual. The use of “Kitty” might indicate a fondness for cats or it could be a nickname.

3. BenLurkin: This username could suggest a more reserved personality, someone who prefers observing (”lurking”) rather than actively participating in discussions. The name “Ben” could be a real name or a reference to a character or public figure.

4. jimfr: This username seems straightforward, possibly a combination of a first name (Jim) and initials or a shortened last name. This could suggest a pragmatic and direct individual.

5. Callahan: This username might be a reference to the character “Dirty Harry” Callahan from the Dirty Harry films. This could suggest an individual who appreciates action films, possibly with a liking for characters who take justice into their own hands.

6. proust: This username is likely a reference to Marcel Proust, a famous French novelist. This could suggest an individual who appreciates literature and deep thought.

7. Larry Lucido: This username appears to be a full name, suggesting an open and straightforward individual. The name “Lucido” might suggest a connection to Italian heritage or an appreciation for Italian culture.

8. Worldtraveler once upon a time: This username suggests someone who enjoys or has enjoyed traveling. The “once upon a time” might indicate that they don’t travel as much anymore, or it could just be a whimsical addition to the username.

9. irishjuggler: This username suggests someone who might have Irish heritage or an appreciation for Irish culture. The “juggler” part could indicate a playful personality or an interest in circus arts.

10. ClearCase_guy: This username might suggest someone who works with ClearCase, a software tool for version control. It could indicate a technical or detail-oriented personality.

11. Yardstick: This username might suggest someone who values measurement and precision, possibly indicating a logical or analytical personality.

It’s becoming fairly clear that most humans, especially in the West, are too stupid to deserve freedom.

---- "Your comment appears to be...."

But appearances, it is said, can be deceiving.

--- "...can be perceived...."

"Can" in this use implies the possibility of a "can." Obvioulsy this aligns with the AP style sheet and ever popular wiggle words.

"It’s important to approach all names.... with respect and consideration."

Such as St. Nancy of the Bottles, "BJ" Clinton, the ever-popular FJB, and Barry Soetoro, General Ray Theon, Cankles who carries hot sauce, Robert/Rachel Levine and all those Queens that Drag. Considered ear respectfully.

A friend queried ChatGBT for a biography of me, before some limitations were put into the programming. It was about 90 percent incorrect including that I was "famous." Hex needed more cheese.

I’ve seen Christian Bible commentary written by ChatGPT, and, in my estimation, it does a better job than a large number of human Bible teachers and preachers.

I wonder why a Black man’s image was used to deliver it. Why not just a black man?

I have always thought I was born at least a hundred years too late, which has colored my attitude toward the use of technology and, while I use technology for practicality and convenience, I have no interest in music, books, articles, or sermons generated by AI. Those are all products of supremely human endeavors. I have been in church nearly every Sunday for over sixty years and have heard thousands of sermons. A sermon is the product of the knowledge, experience, and spiritual formation of the preacher. We have clergy because — ideally — their knowledge, experience, and spiritual formation somehow surpasses ours and we can trust them to teach us. They are our fellow flesh and blood and spirit brethren who walk the same path we walk. AI can amaze us in the same sense that a dog walking on its hind legs amazes us: not because it is done well, but because it is done at all. AI fails dismally in art and spirituality because it lacks the humanity and spirit that make the products of supremely human endeavors meaningful.

I’ll take a human being, thank you. This gives me the creeps, kind of like setting up the environment for the Beast to fool the world.

Same here. You don't know what kind of demonic forces can influence AI.

Your many words may sound sophisticated they do not impress me.
Have a machine create a sermon that the general public must listen to ( it will be) is at a higher level of brain washing than the Third Reich did; 1984 is coming.

... ChatGPT, which told them not to fear death

Golly!

I wonder who programmed THAT?!

Psalm 23:4 ESV
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Matthew 10:28 ESV
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

2 Timothy 1:7 ESV
For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

Hebrews 2:15 ESV
And deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.

Psalm 34:4 ESV
I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.

We’ve been warned about false prophets and false messiahs, just use the same system to detect them - whether human or a machine that has collected a LOT of human input.
