Good point. There is a difference between bringing up something that may be true but which is personal, misleading or not relevant to the campaign, and an out and out lie.

The CIA was heavily involved in Cuban politics at that time and there was credible evidence that he knew Oswald and that he was working with the CIA after having arrived in the U.S.
