"Most old folks will charge their EVs at home..."

Not if they live in apartments or nursing homes they won't.

“You will own nothing and be happy.”

“We will own everything and be even happier.”

About the only stores with chargers will be grocery stores. Perhaps buy $50 or more and the charge electricity will be ‘free’.

Restaurants and motels will normally have chargers.

It seems the eco-kooks love having more and more electricity buzzing around them. Fossil fuels are organic and quiet. Such as cooking on a gas stove. The real shame is that internal combustion engines get more perfected every year. Cleaner and more fuel efficient.

Hitler basically said the same thing to the German people. We will give them our own socialist plan, and promote it in a way, that in the end, they will be happy to accept it.

Charging will normally be away from buildings because of battery fire hazards and because ADA people need to park close to the store.

I live in the Rome-Utica, New York area. I’ve never seen a charging station ever in my travels to those two cities.

EV’s are a solution that does not work for a problem that does not exist.

Apartment dwellers will park by chargers in their apartment parking lot, which might have charge minimums.

About 80% of apartment car owners have jobs and could charge at work.

I live in Florida and the only chargers I’ve seen are at public libraries.

Exactly what I was thinking. Here in the upper Midwest people refuel their cars in view of the weather. Is it going to be sub-zero or is a snow storm coming? You refuel ahead of time to get you through. Even if you are forced to refuel in bad weather it takes 3 minutes while you wait in your car.

An EV? Pfffft... lot of people will need recharging in the winter, plugging in in frigid weather, snow or rain. EVs are simply way too impractical. I view EVS as the fluorescent compact light bulb that came between incandescent bulbs and LEDs. Hydrogen seems like it may be the way to go for those who are hell-bent on not using gasoline. Toyota is pretty invested in hydrogen.

"About 80% of apartment car owners have jobs and could charge at work."

And the charge will be added to their monthly rent. I'm retired, and have never owned a home. I don't believe the government would ever have enough chargers to accommodate the whole population of this country they expect to own EV's. The government isn't that efficient, and it isn't going to be given away free. It's just another gimmick for the government to steal more of your tax dollars.

“hood”

Charging cables don’t have to be made of copper.

The charger doesn’t have to have the cable, the car owner could snap in their own cable.

"Well, even Hitler promised each German a “Volkswagen”.

That never happened. And if the British military hadn't taken over the Volkswagen factory after the war, and gotten it producing cars again, that company would have been finished.
