Yes, Arcteryx clothes are an investment for me, but I love their products.
The quality of their cloths went down years ago. They aren’t worth the prices
Whenever I see North Face on someone’s jackets I think they are trying too hard.
It is like wearing a Members Only jacket. Passé
Switch to South Face. Good grief, Charlie Brown.
All of these companies, going woke, even, after seeing what happened to other companies, reminds me, of Socialists, Marxists, and Communists, that believe, that it failed, because, it was not done correctly or the wrong people were in charge.
“He is a die-hard do-gooder for the Woke cause. He honestly believes in it.”
It is very difficult to know people’s deepest thoughts—particularly when they are under outside pressure to “think” a certain way.
Sometimes they do not even tell themselves the truth.
I would not attempt to evaluate Iger’s motivation unless I had met him myself and had enough time to evaluate him.
My life experience is that while true ignorance exists—even with intelligent people—it is often a clue that a moral failure lies beneath it. Often that failure is lack of courage and desire to conform to their peers.
No North Face garments for me ever.
“Hate to break it to y’all, but the fashion industry is spewed with these demonic filthy evil queers.”
God gives me visions of beautiful fashions in heaven, some of which I draw, but seeing them vividly I don’t usually need to. I guess they want to go broke and be hated though because all they know how to do is steal, kill and destroy, incapable of creating anything life and joy affirming, haven given themselves over to demons and CHOOSING to do so, rather than be healed and made whole. But hey, everyone keep consuming because they tell us “it’s good for the economy.” Only the economy of death.
Do they still carry a bag of lollipops with them?
Personally, I prefer Pattie Gonia for things like a winter coat.
Used to be “sex sells”, now it’s faggotry.
But, as an active investor and former investment banker, I have read what he has said about himself and what his closest associates and fellow board members have said about him for years. And I have watched his actions.
Side Note: If you don't study the CEO, you have no business investing in a company (that is, if your goal is to be successful).
I have never been a direct investor in Disney...but I have looked at it seriously several times in years gone past.
Corporate implosion cleanup on aisle 5.
These are all public statements—in person evaluation is the only metric that tells me much.
I don’t put money in the stock market these days—for many reasons—lack of trust in CEOs is certainly one of them.
Way to be optimistic! You seem to have already written off winning future elections. I understand fearing that’ll be the case, every side does. I think people need to realize that expressing your certainty of loss encourages a self defeating environment for our entire side. That lack of faith doesn’t encourage undecideds to join forces either. We can’t win and move the goal posts in a conservative direction by constantly sounding negative & defeatist. I’m not trying to harp on you or anyone else. I get the feeling of loss & disappointment. I just think people need to consider that our recent losses might have a lot to do with our overall mood. I started noticing an enormous change in our mood in 2018! It’s negative & people have enough crap going on in general than listening to a group of Eeyores. We win when we are happy warriors! 😊
This is how I've made my daily bread for a very long time.
As I've told my family over the years, it's a lot like farming. You have good years...you have bad years.
See how? They got a 6-ft tranny to plug some sort of weird outfit -- that tells the other trannies that TNF sells women's clothing in men's sizes.
This is part and parcel of VF Corp's (TNF parent owners) woke bs.
I don't ever want to see another Freeper brag about how good Dickies brand is, you should take that shit out in the backyard and throw it in the burn pile TODAY.
Too bad. When I was a backpacker, I really liked my North Face sleeping bag.
Do you get much opportunity to do that?
My negative attitude towards companies probably was caused by my career—commercial lending (retired now).
We didn’t care about the up-side—just focused on what could go wrong for a business.
Some of the business owners/execs were pathological liars with accounting statements with swiss cheese holes in them—usually we figured it out in time and would not loan the bad ones any money.
I learned not to trust CPA audit firms or rating agencies—I had to dig deep past the happy talk.
I am fortunate to be retired—many of those loans are looking very shaky these days.
