Allowing parents out of Democrat schools is a state of emergency?
Of course it’s also a separation of powers system, no Ol’ Roy can’t stop anything the Legislative branch wants to do (and I’ve still seen nothing about what a state of emergency even _might_ do).
It’s been a great month for this yahoo... the same guy who declared that abortions are good for the economy (i.e., if that’s so, let’s kill all the babies and get so much more of a good thing!).
The courts should issue a writ of Shuttus the Fouqus Uppus and slap him down.

What hyperbole! But it is an apt remedy when the Marxist Educrat unions are attempting to choke the life out of this nation.
Here's a clue: In much of the modern world where the Educrat unions do not have a stranglehold on public education, there is school choice and the kids actually perform way better than their American counterparts. Why do you suppose that is?
Just to cite one example, mandatory education ends at age 14 in Japan and their kids at that age still outperform American high school graduates in science and math.
In the areas where school choice is in place, it becomes very popular with everyone after a few years.

Easy to impeach; probably impossible to convict and remove from office. The NC State Senate has a 60% GOP majority (30-20), but needs 2/3rds to convict, so they’d have to recruit 3 Dems. to allow a chance.
The life the legislature may choke out of some is the teachers unions, not K-12 education. With school choice K-12 education will get better overall, and the “public” K-12 schools will be put on notice to improve or quit, as their failiures will be met with expansion of school choice to all K-12 students.
Education in the US is in serious trouble and a state of emergency is in order to address the problems.
1. too many schools, students fail to meet proficiency standards? - more than any time in history. Why?
2. Curricula is being changed to focus on societal issues rather the basics of good education.
3. Text books are being changed to champion leftist ideals. Important historical events are being removed or re-written to make results nothing but lies.
4. Many schools fail to keep proper discipline and decorum - students run wild.
5. Many if not most schools now pursue mediocrity and not excellence.

So it’s an emergency if he doesn’t get his way. Amazing.
Why can’t this happen next year when his job is on the line. Here’s hoping the gop legislature pushes the envelope on all issues.
