Just because people are old doesn’t mean you should underestimate their craftiness. My grandpa was suffering dementia and he still managed to sneak out of his nursing home many times, mostly because he still had it together enough to get dressed properly and shave, so he could just stroll out and they usually thought he was just a visitor leaving.

Mostly he would just go across the street, have a bite to eat, then come back, but after he went on a walk for several miles and collapsed in a restaurant they had to lock him up on a special floor where you couldn’t access the elevator buttons without a key. I bet he could have gotten into the kitchen and gotten hold of a knife if he really wanted to.

Old people getting tasered, even at my age (89.5), would be a death sentence...

That would seal the officers fate. I dont think you can frame tasing the great grand ma in anything other than way than ‘Extremely Bad”. Was it a 4’2” female officer with not enough upper body strength to restrain a a 95yo? That would make it even worse.

NZ started this anti gun and anti American stances decades ago, and now it has spread to Australia.

Their deep down reality might be: “They, NZ and Australia don’t want to po China and are afraid to publically state that reality.”

Geopolitically, NZ and Australia backing China versus America might be best for NZ and Australia in the next couple of decades.
