“Auditory processing challenges” means he has trouble understanding what is being said to him. In the clips, Fetterman is having obvious difficulty in choosing words he’s trying to say. He is having trouble with both input and output.
And since most of our thoughts are in the form of words, who is to say that Fetterman even has the ability to think properly? I am not writing this as a joke or a political jab at someone I disagree with. He apparently cannot easily process words

“Auditory processing challenges”, are not just hearing deficits that may improve; they are COGNITION/NEUROLOGICAL deficits that impair the ability to understand and communicate oral and written language. The man is cognitively and neurologically unable to do his job, not unlike Joe Biden, but from different disease processes. He needs to be recalled.

There are only 537 elected officials in DC to keep this country operating and safe. It is sad that some of those ‘leaders’ have damaged brains that are addled by medical conditions or advanced age. One would think that a cognitive test would be administered before each is allowed to take an oath of office!

Well, ain’t Mr. Communications Director clever. Here we were expecting members of the “Greatest Deliberative Body in the World” to be able to, you know, “deliberate”, comprehend language and such, and not be depressed to the point of institutionalization. Now he comes along and shows us that having any concerns about those things are the morally equal of taunting handicapped children and rubbing their faces in a dog pile for laughs.
Decent people would set the standard for the US Senate about a millimeter from rock bottom, so Fetterman, Feinstein, Biden, and Harris can all be above average, and their staffs can get big paycheck for operating their strings. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

The Senate is supposed to be a serious deliberative body.
I am not sure how someone processing gibberish in—and out—can be a serious part f any deliberation.
But if that is what PA needs and wants….have at it.
Good thing he is only a Senator rather someone important like a doctor, surgeon, air controller, etc. whose processing skills mean the difference between life and death.
