You know a real Investigation - Raids, Subpoenas, flipping of lower level peeps.
This was modeled after the Lois Lerner Investigation, use the Investigatiion to block a real Investigation and run out the clock and let the statutes lapse.

No, this was an investigation into the FBI.
Apparently, the FBI can lie to the courts and this is fine (”missteps”).

The investigation of the investigation, which was the cover up of the investigation that was a criminal abuse of power by the DOJ and FBI the likes of which has never happened before, by those who had conflicts of interests in their roles in laying the groundwork for the first investigation, found no criminal wrongdoing.
