Ronald Herbert Walker DeSantis is not in it to win.

His assignment from Tokyo Rove is to prevent Trump from winning.

Liars like Ron do what they want, their words are momentary, like the wind.

The same lie is being repeated again and again by people who have never read the actual wording of the law.

http://www.leg.state.fl.us/statutes/index.cfm?mode=View%20Statutes&SubMenu=1&App_mode=Display_Statute&Search_String=99.012&URL=0000-0099/0099/Sections/0099.012.html

Read section 4.

The law never said DeSantis couldn’t run while still governor. It says he can’t occupy two elected positions simultaneously, so he would be required to resign no later than inauguration day in 2025, assuming he won the presidential election.

The real question is what would happen if he runs but doesn’t get the nomination or doesn’t win the general election. The law is vague on this point, and needed to be clarified.

But instead of doing that, they are making it look like the new version of the law has been crafted specifically to help one individual advance his personal quest for power.

Very bad optics.

All the barking amped up kids will now pontificate about how bad they think this is. Of course, none have ever run for office and realize that to run in 2028, a campaign must be started now to build a war chest of money and contacts. Everyone knows someone entering in 2024 is not going to usually win, that the campaign is ramping up for a future run.

“It’s a sad day at Mar-a-Lago.”

Not actually what this tells me is that DeSantis has no faith that he can win. He is a coward still his feet in the water to test it. Who wants a President that doesn’t commit his all? Who supposedly wants to save America as long as he does not risk his job?

This is coming from someone who truly appreciates the job he has done in Florida. I prefer he goes all in and fights Trump on the battlefield of ideas on how to save this country. If he beats Trump, he gets my vote.

first of we should not be unwilling to vote for either candidate if they win the primary. second I think DeSantis will run if there is any weakness on Trumps part between now and the start of the primary. this is the way it should be. next most probable is that DeSantis wont run till 2028. the reason why is trump has not made a major misstep yet. The place we hear the most about DeSantis running is from the democrat operatives that want us at each other’s throat...calm down let the primary happen next year and support whomever is chosen. we can’t afford another 4-year term of democrat rule.

I think DeSantis is just another G W Bush. Just enough of a Conservative smoke screen to fool most of the people and slow down the Communist takeover of our nation. Little chucks of our liberties taken at a time. Then while in office turns with the rest of the rino’s . All the time giving up more and more ground.
If we don’t get Trump in office we are finished. God Save our Country!
