Well Hilldale I would support whole heartedly....The others...teaching crap, rendering BS degrees that no one can get a job in....I don’t support.
Sounds like at least 500 too many professors.
Defund the universities.
Ignorance is Strength.
Until the so-called Free Speech movement came along in the nineteen sixties and cowed a cowardly head of the University of California, it demanded all students take a year of American history and a year of Western Civilization. The courses were given by fantastic professors. In the end both the students and America were the big losers.
I assume UNC has law school. So, UNC wants law school grads unemployable, too, huh? Like Stanford?
Alumni, pay attention to what’s going on at your alma mater.
>> Stop funding these universities with your gifts.
Amen to that. My wife and I are in our late life “give back” stage. After we visited both our undergrad colleges and were disgusted with what we saw we visited Hillsdale College in southern Michigan. We had subscribed to their free Imprimis publication for decades.
That was an easy decision. (-:
Fire every last one of them & send them to Cuba!
Whether rquired by the legislature, the governor, a board or an administrator...required is required from the student’s perspective.
If no classes are required then “No Constitution class” is consistent. If English, Sexual Harrassment, PE are required then the opposite is true.
But this is from the perspective of the professors being forced to teach something. And the state dictating what courses need to be taught in a university is a problem.
I actually agree with the professors on this for all the wrong reasons. This should be taught in grade schools and high schools. I think it is a good idea to offer the course to foreign students that are considering becoming US citizens..
