He promoted the alternative. Trump unfortunately bashed anyone not supporting Rona. Another example of picking terrible people. He did it well in business but is awful in politics.

Rona is a total disaster. Should have been gone 2 seconds after 2020 when they were caught flat footed on election law engineering.

The GOP is the designated permanent opposition party. Their job in the play is to provide token opposition while the Dems steadily march toward totalitarianism. The GOP never means to actually DO anything, just give the appearance that they’re trying to stop the Dems so the masses don’t get spooked.

“They’ve started to develop a culture of LOSING”

Disagree completely with this statement.

The Republicans, especially in the Senate have been on a losing course for decades thanks to McConnell and his hand picked weak sisters.

The House hasn’t performed much better thanks to McCarthy and before him Prissy Ryan and Crying Boehner.

Right now McCarthy is headed for a loss in 24 because he does nothing but talk and some of his people can’t keep their mouths shut.

Hey Kevin, where are the J-6 videos you promised?

And it has been reported that House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer was warning the Biden family about Republican DA’s that want to charge them for crimes!

While it is true that Democrats are destroying our country we would be foolish to ignore the fact that many republicans are helping them.

Here it is mid April and what has the Republican Congress accomplished?

I hope people start listening and get tired of those losses.

The Republican Party is just as leftist as the Dem Party from its very inception in 1854 in Ripon, Wisconsin. It’s just two sides of the same collectivist coin.

I look at the relationship between the two similar to a domineering wife (Dems) and wimpy, no spine husband (Pubbies) who will stick together and protect each other’s best interests to the end.

May everyone one day soon walk away from both completely.

Your thoughts require Republican leadership and unity, something I haven’t seen over my lifetime.

Conservatives don’t do the “unity” thing.

You’re right, and that’s largely because there is no leadership. The last I counted there are app. 18-20 shades of conservative, with some of the worst scoundrels in politics claiming the mantle of “principled” conservatives. This group is currently squabbling over cuts in social security, an issue that only they care about.

How is that relevant?

Who talks about draining the swamp? You have to say it first.

I must agree, but I may have a longer memory and I remember Reagan had most of the Republican Party behind him.

Actually, in the most recent election for Ronna’s job, he did not pick a person to support. I believe he said they were all good candidate.

I would agree with you. He supports the wrong people frequently.

He is right. In the wake of Donald Trump, the GOP has racked up loss, after loss, after loss.

The Ryan/Rove/McConnell/O'Dea/Bush sabotage of MAGA candidates has been pretty well documented over the last 8 years.

You, DeSantis and a bunch of his supporters have no idea. Or maybe DeSantis does.

“Trump groupies lobbied FOR her!”

I guess I’d consider myself a quasi-”Trump groupie”, i.e., I’m pro-Trump at this point in time. I was 1000% AGAINST her, along with many others on FR. Actually, I don’t recall many, if any, pro-Ronna posters here.

Dumbya only won because of the two idiots he ran against.

I would add that GW and Rove were also helped by the sabotaging efforts of the one with a cabbage/urine/fart odor.

“Is he wrong?”

Culture of winning? Yes, he is wrong in one way. Donald Trump got 600,000 more votes in Florida than DeSantis. Also, what one Florida along with a fast count is DeSantis firing the Dade County Election Supervisor.

Once he fired the Election Supervisor the count no longer took a day and magically the area turned purple at best (slightly blue). The only reason for close elections in Florida has always been the massive voter fraud (where they did not even count votes until the Panhandle close so they knew how much to steal).

I like DeSantis and the job he is doing as Governor, but lets not delude ourselves. The only way we will ever win is with free and fair elections. And the establishment Republicans and Democrats will never give of the power of elections to individuals (American Voters).

Because no one trusts a party full of RINO’s who can’t live by the party standards.
