“You can drink that much and drive perfectly well. If you obey all the laws, the police won’t have any reason to stop you and check.”

Lack of a fully developed frontal lobe sometimes precludes the ability to obey any law whatsoever while inebriated, in fact if they’re out driving around and have been drinking and a designated driver isn’t behind the wheel they’re stupid.

They run vehicle check points in Virginia you have to slow down, stop... all the cop needs is a whiff and your sidelined.

If you’ve never smelled a drunk in a vehicle when they roll down the window... it’s blatantly obvious.

A good reporter would be asking those questions.

Yes, he (or she) would.

But there are very few good reporters these days.

And even fewer journalists.

Revenue enhancement....and a curtailment of liberty.

It’s not those at 0.08 BAC, it’s those a 1.5 or greater.

It will kill the restaurant business since most of the $$$ is from the bar.

One glass of wine, or a beer will put a slightly built person at 0.04, and two will put them in jail.

Exactly. Based on the article, a .05 limit means a smaller women could be over the limit with ONE glass of wine at dinner or a guy having two beers. These aren’t the people who are gonna be causing wrecks in 99.99% of the cases. They understand the danger and don’t over indulge.

The people who are the problem are those who are way over the limit, sit a a bar, don’t eat, and have drink after drink and drive.

Exactly. They know the people at .06 aren’t a danger anymore than someone adjusting the radio in most cases. It is the people in the .1-.15 range or higher, not someone who had two beers at dinner.

Yep, we saw this with the drop to .08, it was the opposite of what we needed to increase the apprehension of the greatest dangers.

Dustin Church was 18 when he was killed by a drunk driver. His father said it’s positive step.

OMG! Did an editor even read this??

Maybe it is because an anti-constitutional government really sucks ass.

The libtards have sucked all belief of a trustworthy steward right out of everyone’s life.

As I read it, 60% die or are killed by sober people.

Who knows. The editors are Communication majors, who are by far some of the dumbest people to graduate college.

If you obey all the laws, the police won’t have any reason to stop you and check.

If the police want to stop you they will, they'll just say they saw you swerve and there's not a judge on the planet that won't take their word even though they're lying out of their ass.

Insurance studies have shown that enforcing limits below .11% have no measurable effect on accidents involving injury or death.

Of course, but if you are a middle-aged white man driving a nice car at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, and obeying all the laws, the chances of the police deciding to stop you is very minimal.
