They could have owned howitzers and it wouldn't have made a lick of difference. They died in their beds likely in a drunken stupor.
Maybe it would not have helped in this sitiation but teach your daughter to carry and shoot a fire arm, folks.
C’mon Ann, given they were life long friends it was probably pretty innocent.
Creepy is some guy breaking into the apartment and killing them.
BTW, in your day how did girls get to be great kissers right out of the box? Because women/girls have ALWAYS had to teach us guys how to kiss!
The question is, did they sleep together often or did something happen when they got home that scared them? Was there an encounter with the murderer, did someone follow them, did they hear something outside and decided to sleep together. OR, did someone they know come to the house and ask if they could “crash” at their place and so they gave the other bedroom to that person and the girls slept together.
Good point! They tried to reach the ex-boyfriend several times by phone, with each girl calling his number. Then they went to sleep in one room. Was someone in the other room?
Just adding: All excellent points in your post. It sure looks like something scared them.
They were drunk and came home and flopped on a double bed. I doubt there is any lesbo component here.
I hope this isn’t what is being implied.
The original poster is saying that, unfortunately.
It takes a crazed mind to jump into that sort of pile of poo.
NEVER heard of two girls kissing each other!!! They kissed the back of their own hands!
Teen girls, myself included, slept in the same bed all the time when visiting friends house. It was a place to sleep. There wasn’t any sex with girls on the mind. Just sleep after lots of yakking and giggling.
I am with you, I can’t see any reason to jump to a conclusion such as this.
I have sisters and I know this is normal.
This guy would insist on dying from hypothermia instead of the normal first aid of skin on skin contact to warm him back up.
He thinks every such occasion is homo/gay, so he must believe Abraham Lincoln was actually gay for doing this.
He’s got a solid perverted mind, that one.
My company only shared rooms at the national sales meeting. It’s usually at a very high-end hotel so I guess I understand.
I came up with a good scam, which is also true. I told our meeting planner that I’m a professional snorer and it’s unfair to my unsuspecting roommate. BINGO! Private room.
Obviously, something happened that night. The police have tried to downplay the multiple phone calls to the ex-boyfriend, one right after the other which seems frantic. To me, these girls got spooked when they got home.
I am still leaning towards the ex. Was he waiting for her at the door, was there an argument. The one girl was just there for over night to show off her new car, she was graduating and had a new job in Texas. Somewhere they mentioned she was going to Europe for a month. It seems she was moving on in her life and possibly enraged him. I think he was waiting at the house to talk it out, there was a big blow up, he left and they tried to call him, he came back……….
Probably why so many European countries appoint them to be Defense Ministers. :)
I admit, my mind went there, too, but I would hate to see an innocent person accused. Her parents stand behind him, and police must’ve checked him out. When the police questioned people, I would guess they took a look around, too. The crime was so gruesome that one would expect mountains of evidence tracked everywhere. It couldn’t have been cleaned up that thoroughly.
That’s what’s so weird about this case. How did the killer walk away from that crime scene so easily? In a college town, students are out partying all night long. If the killer walked home through town, he or she probably would’ve been noticed. Did the killer park a car nearby? If so, evidence would be in that car, the killer’s home, etc.
Hope they solve this case soon.
After this thread I’ve been thinking about these murders. I’m not going to lie I am rather obsessed with this case. I feel for the boyfriend who did not answer his phone after they called him multiple times. He will be haunted forever by the fact that he didn’t return the calls. He will always wonder if he could have changed the outcome.
A heavy burden for young shoulders.
From what has been said, the ex was asked why he didn’t answer his phone and he said he was sleeping, what is his alibi to exclude him. I hope he had another girl with him and that is a possibility, as well as the phone being turned off. If someone tried to call me ten times in the early morning hours (even when I was twenty). I would have answered the phone after the first three calls, and told them to stop it or ask what was wrong.
I live thousands of miles away on the other side of the country, and I keep thinking about this case, too.
So many violent crimes happen every day, all around us, and I’m heartbroken for all murder victims.
What makes this story different is that the police seem stumped. No one is safe if this killer isn’t caught soon.
Maybe his phone was turned off while he slept?
Assuming he’s innocent, he must be devastated.
Sadly, I am very intrigued with this case and I think it is because there are few answers from the investigators. Also, the week of the murders our entire family traveled to University of Alabama (from South Carolina)to visit our grandson who is a sophomore and for our granddaughter who will be going there next year. These murders had an underlying worry effect while walking on campus and visiting our grandsons fraternity, etc. His dad, our son, gave him a huge lecture about safety and trusting people he really doesn’t know etc. when were were talking about it he said a lot of his friends on campus were really scared, it was a big wake-up for them. Ironically, he and our granddaughters were talking at dinner and they all believed the ex-boyfriend did it and their friends think the same thing. Kind of have to give them some credibility because they know what goes on with young relationships, campus life more than we do now.
