A whole lot of once-respected corporations have gone belly-up when they lost their credibility with the people. The US government is nothing more than a gigantic corporation with a CEO (ostensibly Joe Biden), a Board of Directors (Congress), employees (thousands of agency lackeys) and a whole bunch of shareholders, most of whom are extremely ticked off.

I was quite amused in the cold winter at the height of the pandemic seeing people on the street with all that frozen breath streaming from their masks.

Around here people generally werent wearing them the first time around. Even local doctors are secretly admitting that they knew it was somewhere between hype and hoax last time.
If most of us around here gave them the finger last time and they have no repeaters for their propaganda other than the media then who is going to coerce the gullible? Arent people elsewhere going to hear that the cooties didnt and arent killing people by the truckload despite no masks?
The government no longer has any recognized authority to make any mandate in too large a percentage of the population. A much larger percentage are on to the con now, general disobedience would entirely shatter any veneer of authority they still had among the weak. Are they so blind and desperate that they would attempt that gamble now? What happens when the rest give the fed the finger too?
About a week ago we had a abnormally cold start to the day. I had to work early that day and was driving in around 6:15 AM and saw some lady walking alone, masked up. You could see all the moisture every time they exhaled.
It just makes the pointlessness completely obvious, doesn’t it?

Anyone with so-called long covid can fly down to French Guiana. There are 3 islands off the coast on which they can live.

Masks are useless, unless they are the equivalent of a full-seal gas mask or fed by self-contained breathing apparatus.
They can stay home. Total stretch that making the entire country will help anyone with long covid. They just want control.
