As the GOP is, yes, agreed. And itās looking more and more like Trump is not the solution either, for the reason you just mentioned. Too many folks really, really dislike Trump. Some of that is his fault. Some of it isnāt.
It wonāt work to try to start a new party. Politics today is all about money. A new party just wonāt be able to compete in that regard.
I guess our best hope is for another Reagan to emerge before the country completely collapses.

Trump has the best ideas going forward. Just like he had the best ideas back in 2016.
But yes, a lot of people really dislike Trump. That includes friends of mine who are kinda conservative. And itās not because they disagree with his ideas. Itās because they dislike him personally. People shouldnāt vote on that basis, but they do.
Much of this is the mediaās fault. As we all know, they twist and turn everything a true conservative says.
But much of it is also Trumpās fault. He says off-the-cuff things that give his opponents openings to smear him. I want to say that heās getting better at this. But heās not.

No. Trump did not lose this. He has situated many like minded thinkers and doers into congress. When and if he gets back in he will have that much more power than he did

Trumpās candidates could not beat the early, mail-in voting because they were all smeared in the first months of the campaign. Their opponents refused to debate. Trump did not sufficiently fund his own endorsed candidates. McConnell funded Trumpās senate candidates with 10x the money Trump spent, despite Trumpās PAC having raised more than McConnellās Senate Leadership Fund. So, do not blame McConnel.
This allowed the Dems to smear our candidates early and cement those early, mail-in votes, ensuring their victory.
DeSantis turned Florida more red than ever by actually governing as a conservative, taking actions to ensure integrity and leading the nation during the pandemic.
Trump needs to retire his ego and enjoy his billions and Melania.
I fear Trump will not. He is the jilted lover who wants revenge. If Trump gets the nomination, he loses in 2024. If Trump loses the nomination, he will undermine our nominee causing us to lose 2024.
Itās now time for a post-mortem. This country is falling apart. So really nothing should be off the table. For example, we should not discount possible cheating (see my tagline). And yes, fair criticism of Trump should be acceptable, too.
