What kind of legal psyche meds were they fed in k-12. Ritalin and so on? These are not good long term. Then all the marijuana smoking is not good for young brains that are still forming.
Others are fine and their parents just don't want to parent.
Those who are not believers are lost and walking in spiritual darkness which leads to all kinds of issues, in addition to all the other issues mentioned ( adhd meds, marijuana, etc), social media induced issues…plus SO many from broken families, parents with “live in” boyfriends/girlfriends which is traumatic for kids in itself.
I don't belittle their suffering.
Generation Z has suffered the consequences of closing mental institutions for preceding generations, leading to some very mentally ill people having children. No one is calling it out, much less addressing it.
Too many Generation Z children were raising themselves, often with only a television, because their parent or parents were unwilling or unable to raise them. An inordinate number of Generation Z were raised in broken homes. I cannot insist enough that Generation Z members study abnormal psychology, especially narcissism, to understand what one or both of their parents did to them.
Many parents of Generation Z smoked crack, meth, and took mind altering prescription drugs. No one has done studies to see what that's done to the brain development of Generation Z children.
Generation Z has grown up with completely failed institutions; schools, churches, government. Their "support" structure actively targets them for mind warping, molestation, and financial slavery. The government and propaganda media outlets have lied to them for every moment of their lives.
The mental health industry, instead of helping them, prescribes them more mind altering drugs. Children who may have had Gender Dysphoria were told they were born in the wrong body and need drugs and mutilation in order to "transform". Sick members of the "mental health" industry use their victims to further their own illness.

My local Community College reports 58% of its students have ‘food insecurity’, and then beg for food and money for their Food Pantry.
I wonder how the sports coaches can function with athletes with food insecurity. Most sports coaches make sure their athletes eat very well.
So besides mental problems, they are starving.
Is there any generation that did not have their challenges? I had to practice hiding under my desk to avoid being vaporized. None of us really thought that would work. My parents grew up during the depression and then dealt with WWII. The fact is that the world today is a more hospitable place than at any time in history.
I am not sure what role all these substances play. When I was a kid, paint and gas were both full of lead. Not only did dental fillings have mercury, I had a small vial of it that I used to play with. Once, I went to a summer camp where I was allowed to play with a Geiger counter and spent nuclear fuel. Every summer, my Dad had the house drenched with DDT. My Mom obliviously smoked and drank her way through my gestation. Bullying was a normal part of growing up. Somehow, we survived it all.
I agree that institutions are not just failing kids, in many cases, like the public schools, they are weaponizing them for political purposes, with no concern for how this affects them. This is made worse by the mental industry. Minor ticks and behavior problems used to be fixed by telling the kid to straighten up or else. Now, these problems have been given names and diagnoses, and instead of instructing kids to consciously modify their behavior, they are allowed to act out, or they are medicated, or both. And then we have the exploitation of normal adolescent anxiety, aka gender dysphoria. These are the things that are ruining kids today. We need to come down hard on the purple haired freaks who are doing this to our kids, especially the ones running the schools. I am hoping we get a start on this today.

Boys are treated as defective in school because they don't behave like girls. They're told they're defective, every day and their mentally bereft parents agree to it. No one believed boys were defective prior to second and third wave Feminism.
A very large portion of parents of these kids are severely medicated. They're taking mind-altering medication every day, continuing what they started when they were teenagers. This isn't a parent copping a joint or two on the weekend or drinking too much at a barbecue; it's a daily dose meant to keep them in a permanent state of an altered mind. That's your mom? That's your teachers?
Previous generations had insane people but the dangerous ones were removed from society for the protection of themselves and others. Since the mental institutions were closed, the mentally ill have been unleashed on society and have procreated with other mentally ill. Their children are severely messed up.
While illicit drugs have been around for generations, people got arrested and charged for possession and distribution. The strength and long term of those drugs were minimal compared to newer drugs, many of which are created by highly skilled chemists at pharmaceutical korporations. Just look at the ravages of Oxycontin. Nowadays, use and distribution of drugs such as fentanyl and meth are ignored by law enforcement and prosecutors. Generation Z is the first to live with this horrific reality.
For centuries, one knew their neighbors. Generation Z has had unvetted illegal aliens invade their neighborhoods and schools.
While individuals varied in religious beliefs for thousands of years, Generation Z has lived their entire lives with religion attacked, corrupted, and replaced with outright mental illness by the Left. Adults have abandoned them to fend for themselves instead of fixing the problems. Imagine never knowing a legitimate belief system shared by others.
Of course... lots of pressure to get diagnosed so as to collect disability
