Never heard a good reason for why he left politics. Congressmen seldom ever give up the cushy deal.

Rumors I heard was that he was involved in a big corruption scandal, and they let him resign rather than making a big scene about it.

Anyone know the real reason why JC Watts left congress?

Oklahoma is a State with a lot of “Cherokees’, as well as other tribes. (There is no blood quantum for Cherokees; you can have any fraction of Cherokee blood, and claim Cherokee tribal membership. Many thousands of what my Indian husband calls “paper Indians”). All the tribes have officially endorsed Hoffmeister. If all “ Indians “ vote for her, we may wake up a blue State next Wednesday morning. Please pray for us.

Dude is auditioning to get another cable talking head job, but he's a stiff, and the hiring boom is over on cable, but of course Watts didn't notice. He'll regret this endorsement, such an unforced error, so stupid right before a red wave election.

One wonders how much money he lost on this failure:
