Thanksgiving, a traditional American holiday celebrating the first harvest of the Plymouth Colony with local the Indians that had accepted them as allies. My ninth-great grandfather and grandmother (the Aldens) were probably there. The leftist Democrats would rather we skipped and forgot such historic memories.

Well exactly - there’s enough misery in the news to fill a stadium and then some. ...so I see this article as a ploy to increase that misery - certainly not to encourage people.
I’m so glad I was raised to be inventive and improvise. ...also to be challenged. We may have been poor but as kids we didn’t know that.
When we reflect on Holiday clebrations throughout our life it always is the “Buzz”....of being with family around a table...all the Buzz as people arrive and the business in the kitchen...kids running under foot and their laughter....adults joking around. ...and the desert afterward as fokks spent hours chatting around the table....as we often said in our family ...

Thanks - I was just 4 so I know what it is to be raised without a dad....all four of us kids turned out well. Mom worked slinging hash, selling Avon, and cleaning houses.....until she got her License as a nurse.
Holidays were always special - she did it all right.
