I was just perusing a thread about a Newsweek article that asserted General Flynn praised Putin and the other twerp Medvedev, and called Zelensky a dangerous fool.

LINK: Trump Ally Mike Flynn Attacks Ukraine's Zelensky:'Dangerous Fool'

In the linked article from Newsweek, it said this:

"...Michael Flynn, an outspoken ally of former President Donald Trump, had harsh words for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday.

Flynn previously served as a lieutenant general in the U.S. Army before taking on the role of national security adviser in the early days of the Trump administration. He resigned from the position amid a controversy over his communications with a Russian ambassador and has been generally noted for his strong connections to Russia throughout his various careers.

On Saturday, Flynn appeared on the conservative, pro-QAnon web series, "The Mel K Show," where he discussed the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. In a clip shared to Twitter by left-leaning pundit Ron Filipkowski, the former Trump official offered strong praise for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, calling them "bold leaders who have everything at stake in terms of protecting their country." Flynn also derided Zelensky, calling him a "foolish person, a dangerous fool."

However, watching the linked video, General Flynn said this exactly:

"..."...when you see Putin, and a very interesting speech that was just given, literally, in the last couple of days by Medvedev, okay, the former...okay, so Medvedev is another guy in the heirarchy, was the President of Russia for a short period of time, Medvedev's speech was very stern.

And so, we have got to pay attention, because these are not, these are not uh, shy leaders, these are bold leaders who have every, uh, everything at stake in terms of protecting their country. So these fools, these fools, and I said about Zelensky and his statements about nuclear war people can go to the various Telegram and my various social media to see it, that is a foolish person. But what's more dangerous than that is a dangerous fool..."

This is intelligence language, characterizing a leader or how a leader might be viewed, this isn't "strong praise". And he is absolutely correct to call out Zelensky for his foolish and hysterical ramping up of the rhetoric. That is bad enough, but what that does is allow others to fan those flames.

Such as Newsweek. Already fanning the flames of anxiety among the ignorant. The last damned thing we need is people fanning those flames of hysteria. We need to tamp them down.

That would be in the various bunkers the ruling class built for themselves hither and yon about the Nation. You aren’t invited.

The Fixx - Stand Or Fall

Crying parents tell their children
If you survive don’t do as we did
A son exclaims there’ll be nothing to do to
Her daughter says she’ll be dead with you

While foreign affairs are screwing rotten,
Line morale has hit rock bottom
Dying embers stand forgotten
Talks of peace were being trodden

Stand or fall, state your peace tonight
Stand or fall, state your peace tonight

Is this the value of our existence
Should we proclaim with such persistence
Our destiny relies on conscience
Red or blue, what’s the difference

Stand or fall, state your peace tonight
Stand or fall, state your peace tonight
It’s the Euro theatre
It’s the Euro theatre
It’s the Euro theatre

An empty face reflects extinction
Ugly scars divide the nation
Desecrate the population
There will be no exhaultation

Stand or fall, state your peace tonight
Stand or fall, state your peace tonight
It’s the Euro theatre
It’s the Euro theatre
It’s the Euro theatre
Stand or fall
Stand or fall
Stand or fall
Stand or fall

if we are to die in nuclear war, then that's what happens....

I worry more about living in tyranny with my head down and my knees bent before the evil satanists....

I'd worry about living unless we get our man back and this ship righted.

The initial detonation are survivable if you are out of the main blast zone.

If you are 20 miles away you it may Crack your windows.

So then you have to shelter from the fallout for a couple of weeks at least.

Then it gets tough.

Point is, you have a good chance at surviving the initial blast(s). The rest is dependent upon your personal preparation, and perhaps a little luck.

I somehow don’t think that large swaths of Appalachia will be targeted.

If anyone is fanning the flames it would be Putin. Biden and Musk are only stating/asking the obvious.

The best place is the ballot box

Get rid of the ones who would get us into a war

And in 2024 make sure we get rid of Joe

Newsweek says many hundreds of thousands of people died
from the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

I found one site that estimates a low count of 110,000 to
a high count of 210,000.

I didn’t look for other estimates, and I’m sure they vary
considerably, as various special interest groups ‘make
their case’.

I do not know. Many of the places far away from large cities are taken by the military.
Military bases are the main target!

Apophis will be here before the most likely candidates NK, Iran, or Pakistan can start a nuclear war...

The NASA dimwits are thinking about screwing around with it, so it is very probable that the next extinction event will be in 2029 or 2036...

If it is going to happen, I’m hoping for 2036 so that I can make it to 103...

Back in the 70’s when I was stuck working on missile sites at Minot AFB in North Dakota, the way they would get us to stop bitching about the cold was to tell us that we were in the safest place in the US in the event of a nuclear war
