Prior to the social revolution of the 60’s, 70’s, any foreign national convicted of a crime was automatically removed from the US never to granted entry again. I know of such a case and I think it was 1963, maybe the year before.
Has there been a change in the law or are they not enforcing the law????
Well, I agree with George on this. He is absolutely right. But in this case we’re talking about legal immigration. Immigrants who follow the letter of the law.
As a matter of fact, the word “immigrant,” by definition refers to those who gain entry legally. To call the illegal aliens “immigrants” is wrong. But the cats out of bag now as all the media and government have bastardized the word just as they have the words “gay” and rainbow.”
