Yes, that is one of the few real encouraging trends today. Washington is wedded to the notion that the rubes, boobs and racists beyond the beltway can be brought to heel by terrorizing them with uncontrolled mostly black generated socially dysfunctional general criminality and BLM/Antifa ‘riots’. These activities being deliberately abetted by woke mayors and Soros district attorneys. Once Washington believes something it has to be true and it will just keep doubling down to push the chosen narrative.
New York also pays hotels/motels to house Level 2 and 3 sex offenders. In fact, there are two such motels within 10 miles of the Poughkeepsie Marriot Courtyard where this shooting took place. One of the motels is a short walk from an elementary school and Vassar College. The other motel is near an elementary school, middle school, and the State University at New Platz. I wonder how many families stayed at these places for college family weekend not knowing that they were rubbing elbows with convicted sexual predators.
So there is a LOT more to this story.
Yes, progressive mayors and governors do want to both release masses of violent and mostly black criminals and they want to dub them homeless and send them to overwhelmingly white middle class areas so they can terrorize pro 2A types into supporting mass civil disarmament schemes. It is utterly stupid as well as criminal and doesn’t achieve its ends but look at Obama’s Fast and Furious scheme. In passing, Fast and Furious is a classic example of just how cowardly, complicit, and corrupt the GOP is. The congopers could have really hung that impeachment worthy scheme around the halfrican’s neck but just did what they are most comfortable doing; hiding and collecting donorbucks.

Good question. But there have been lawsuits filed and attempts to enact local restrictions and so the information is out there with a little research.
