Yes. But keep in mind, it was in a different era. Three channels back then.
When was this guy ever funny?
The networks blew it by not promoting Craig Ferguson to the earlier hour.
He’s a “comedian”?
I wish they’d just show late movies like they used to before all these stupid talk shows. They should’ve ended these things when Johnny Carson retired. In his day, there were movie stars, today we just have celebrities...
In all fairness, I don’t know. I’ve never really watched the show or his stand-up. I don’t think it would be fair for me to say one way or the other without seeing him.
Did he even want that?
Ha! BINGO. Gutfeld is fantastic, btw. ;-)
“So how is he going to make money now?“
Watch… he’ll wind up at CNN or MSNBC making four times what he did at the Daily Show.. or maybe even end up as Biden’s Minister of Propaganda…
One of them must have.
Yep. I have a feeling he was told to quit or else. I watched a few times just to see what h was up to and never could make it more than 5 minutes.
He wasn’t funny at all, he is a political hack who tried to pretend he was a comedian. He was terrible at both. You needed a room temperature IQ to find him funny or smart.
IMHO, the latter is a distinct possibility. They must realize the current press sec is a disaster. He’s a political hack and couldn’t be much worse.
I don’t understand how any of these late night shows, including SNL, can survive much longer. Watching them is a drudgery. All politics. All bias. All woke. There’s nothing funny about any of them any longer. They’re trying to appeal to an audience that has no ability to laugh or have humor.
Satire has now found a home on the right with outlets like the Babylon Bee. National Lampoon, early SNL, pre-90s Tonight Show and Late Night are all right wing havens compared to today...
The network is probably doing him a favor by allowing him to quit. Most likely, they have someone in mind to replace Trevor Noah.
I think the liberal night-time talk show is on its last legs.
I suspect Kimmel and Fallon’s days are numbered as well.
Kimmel was funny on the Man Show.
Adam Carolla carried that show.
True. It was a good show. It was actually entertaining.
