Free cheese in the trap

But it will “significantly lower the cost of drugs and health insurance.”

Next it will be a free house for everyone........

If you spend money to fix a non-problem it just makes inflation worse.

So it’s not an inflation reduction bill? And investments of taxpayers money doesn’t reduce inflation, it increases inflationary pressures.

“But it doesn’t do much to fix inflation in the short term,” or long term or any other term.

I’m so sick of these climate morons stating that they can affect the climate. If every government in the world confiscated every penny beyond bare subsistence and spent it on “climate” they could not affect the global temperature by one degree or sea levels by an inch.

We don't know if it is a man-made problem, if carbon emissions even contribute to it (if it even exists), or if so-called "clean air" efforts on the part of the developed world will have any effect given the lack of response by China and India.

Since climate has changed both gradually and rapidly in the past, and since we are carbon-based life forms, it is clearly not a man-made problem. In fact, calling it a problem is part of the lie.

In fact, calling it a problem is part of the lie.

But climate change is a problem and saying it is not makes you look like a knee-jerk denier.

When the climate is much drier than normal, it is a problem--drought. When it is much wetter than normal, it is a problem--flooding. When there are unusual storms of any kind--problems for drivers, ship/air traffic, homeowners, etc.

The climate changes. It has always changed and always will change...and there have always been weather problems. If that weren't the case, meteorology wouldn't be a science worth studying.

The issue is whether such change is man-made. That is the argument.

OK, define NORMAL. That's what the left does...couch things in their own terms. I'll wager that all these variations are within the normal range over millennia.

The issue is whether such change is man-made. That is the argument.

So I'll say to them "Prove that it is". They'll answer back "Prove that it's not". They'll call us names and we'll sneer at them...

Perhaps "normal" was a poor choice of words on my part. Call it what you like, the weather is always changing.

What I am contending with is your statement that calling it a problem is part of the lie.

Taking the word "normal" out of the argument, admitting that the climate/weather is a problem is not part of the lie.

The climate IS a problem from time to time (just ask Ron DeSantis at the moment).

My point is, rather than quibble over the details, get to the crux of the matter: it has not been proven that climate change is anthropogenic.

On the other hand, it has been proven that the issue of climate change has been polluted by the political agenda of the Left. In fact, it has been so corrupted that the truth as to the cause of climate change (if there is one) may not be something that can be empirically established.

With all due respect, you are confusing climate with weather. Since it’s not possible to change either, we have to adjust to them. And the left will continue to lie about them for any perceived political advantage.

The Inflation Reduction Act is really nothing more that a raid on the U.S. Treasury for the envirowackos.
Even the so-called "green investment" is a lie.

It's about buying off constituents who then pump that same money back into reelecting Democrats who will then pay them off again so they can get more campaign money to get reelected in order to... and so on. It's a catastrophic circle jerk.

I'm not confusing them...they are interlinked. I'm just ignoring the difference for the sake of discussion.

You are awfully contentious today. Is everything alright? I ask sincerely, not being an ass.

Just in case it's me being contentious, I will admit that I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

Two of my female cats decided to have a fight on the foot of my bed at 4:00 am. Mostly screaming and yelling, but no scratches...and that was just me.;-) They did lots of the same.

Never got back to sleep.

We too often let the left get away with framing the conversation; I get a little testy when I see it!

As for the kitties, yeah, they’ll do that from time to time. Luv ‘em anyway, though we have not had them for quite a few years.
