She seems pretty good. Welcome surprise.
Don’t know what the hell was wrong with Boris Johnson, but Liz is certainly getting this right and this does actually ‘send a message’ to Putin.
Will take a couple of years to show benefits, but the existing track - less and less fuel in the future, was horrible. Also didn’t realize she has a rack.
Boris Johnson’s brain was plugged up with smoked haddock.
Quite a good figure, esp. for being in her late 40's. Not bad looking either.
The old meme "If only these were brains" does not apply to this lady. She seems to be plenty smart.
“The old meme “If only these were brains” does not apply to this lady. She seems to be plenty smart.”
Same here...blond woman, forget it. Then Fracking, new exploration, and I think something else. She may wind up giving Thatcher a run for her money.
Nigel pointed out that she has a history as a leftist, but ran a conservative campaign and announced in her victory speech that she ran as a conservative and she would govern as a conservative.
Nigel is giving her the benefit of the doubt for now.
I like the expansion of energy options iike fracking. I’m not as crazy about the energy bill caps, that could have unintended consequences including over usage and/or shortages.
You filthy sexist! Actually, I was thinking the same thing.
“I’m not as crazy about the energy bill caps”
Perhaps incentives for reduced consumption.
If say you reduce your October 2022 consumption by 25% compared to October 2021, the government would pay 25% of your October 2022 charges.
If say you reduce your November 2022 consumption by 30% compared to November 2021, the government would pay 30% of your November 2022 charges.
I don't think she's freezing prices, but rather, subsidizing costs for consumers.
Some natural gas power plants might be converted to run on gasoline.
Jets use liquid fuel turbines.
“Truss announced a cap on consumer energy bills for two years in a package that could cost around 150 billion pounds ($173 billion, €173 billion). The plan will be funded by government borrowing.”
That’s about $2500/UK citizen.
For a household of four, $10,000.
Speaking of Diaper Joe, you just know all those pudding pops leave a hell of a mess in the Depends—ten minutes on the bidet just to get him cleaned up enough for a fresh one. Part of the problem is that Diaper Man hasn't learned that you don't take a dump in a bidet.
The problem can be explained by the fact that the Butter Goblin is a WEF meat puppet and he was chasing green poon named Carrie Symonds.
Many British houses still have coal grates.
Import coal from Poland and stay warm.
“Drill Baby Drill!” is good.
Price control is bad.
1,2,3 o’clock, 4 o’clock frack
5,6,7 o’clock, 8 o’clock frack
Were gonna frack frack frack all day and night.
Were gonna frack and frack until Putin cracks.
So the guberment is going to pay the utility bills then tax people more to cover the cost?????????????
Thank you Liz Truss! Someone who gets it, unlike Diaper Man.

Wouldn’t have thought the UK would be leading the way out of the comatosed stupidity our western nations are calling an energy strategy. I’m with Nigel on this, let’s give Liz the benefit of the doubt. Since she’s doing the opposite of diaper man, by default, it means she is doing something right.
NY and PA should take note.
