There was a case in CT where a driver was detained and cuffed after presenting a CCW until the officer could ‘verify’ the CCW. This was ruled unconstitutional by Federal courts: you cannot have concealed carry and presume everyone with a gun is breaking the law, because it makes a mockery of the licensing procedure and the 2nd Amendment.

This is deprivation of a civil right under color of law. I hope Albany gets sued into oblivian. For Hochuls part, it’s dereliction of duty. She should be impeached/recalled.

The big problem is that they do not care: even if they lose, it's the public who pays, and they know very well that an ordinary private citizen without outside assistance would be bankrupted pursuing a case and in all likelihood will be forced to accept a plea and admit guilt rather than face a decade in jail on false charges.

Until Congress passes enabling civil rights laws and/or Federal judges start holding governors, legislators and prosecutors in contempt, it won't stop.

I'd be absolutely shocked if there were a single NYC cop that wouldn't enthusiastically do so. That place has been a Constitution free zone for decades, especially where it concerns the 2nd amendment.
