Paul Sperry is an independent journalist who pays attention to facts rather than following the mindless herd that is the mainstream media.

The 'mindless herd of the MSM gets their 'talking points and story suggestions' from DNC War Rooms. So yeah, an independent journalist (not owned by corrupt Washington insiders) is a breath of fresh air.

This was a general warrant and should not have been issued.

Confidential, secret and top secret are sub categories of the broad label "classified".

67 + 25 + 92 = 184

Seems rather clear that abc news is deliberately misleading people by the way they present the information.

I’m not impressed when I hear the term “classified documents.” It seems that they will classify pretty much everything, probably even a recipe for clam chowder.

Does the affidavit even specify what was supposedly “obstructed”?

Eugene Debs ran for President in 1920 even though Woodrow Wilson had had him thrown in prison. Of course he didn't win.

If the Democrats do decide to indict Trump, I think it's likely they will wait until after the November election, to avoid increasing Republican turnout in the election.

“Although POTUS is the ultimate classification authority, there are thousands of “classification authorities” (people who can determine the classification level of a document), and they range from senior NCOs to general officers and civilians with the appropriate clearance and training.”

The President is the ONLY person who can classify and declassify anything. Everyone else (in the executive branch) has the power delegated to them under authority from The President.

No bureaucrat can classify something and say, “ah ha! The President violated my classification!” It’s impossible under the Constitution.

No court can overrule it.

The End.

I believe this hoax as much as I believed all the other hoaxes, which all turned out to be hoaxes.

Oh, for God’s sake. I’ve been dealing with classified for 30 years. The President DOES NOT and CANNOT personally declassify every single one of the millions of classified documents out there. The whole idea of DELEGATION is that the delegee is delegated the AUTHORITY to determine the classification level of a document, and is in fact in a better position to determine the appropriate classification level than anyone else with regard to that specific classified matter. And each of those people is specifically referred to as a “classification authority”. So my statement is exactly accurate. Neither I nor anybody else has said a bureaucrat can overrule the President on a matter of classification/declassification.

There is only one person in the land who can officially classify and declassify documents, and that is the President of the United States.

This is not true. There are others that have what is called "original classification authority."

RTFA

“Because our images are deleted after 6 weeks to preserve space on the server, let me list what it says (highlights in original):

Found in the 15 boxes at Mar-a-Lago

Retrieved in January 2022

184 unique classified documents

92 secret documents

67 confidential documents

25 top secret documents

ABC news.

Every single one of those highlighted words is completely wrong. Those classifications (which should not have been leaked, of course) come from pencil pushers; that is, hired bureaucrats assigned those classifications to the documents. There is only one person in the land who can officially classify and declassify documents, and that is the President of the United States. He gets that plenary power through the Constitution and the will of We the People, who elected him.

To the extent bureaucrats assign classifications to documents, they do so only through delegated power. No matter how many little red rubber stamps they use to mark up documents, it is the president who has the final say. Not the Department of Justice, not the FBI, and certainly not some soggy little bureaucrats in the National Archives.”

RE: There are others that have what is called “original classification authority.”

Name a few. And whose classification takes precedence?

Heads of agencies.

The president has the ultimate classification authority.

But you knew that.
