Well, I have only been in that state three times. The first time I flew to Vietnam and returned via that same military flight, EXCEPT the first time I sat in the middle seat between two guys who reeked of booze he drank before he got on the flight and of course, cigarette smoke. So, both wreaked big times. The last time I came out to Monterey at the military place there. I did not go to the foreign language training place. But I was in a military justice class that the JAG put on for us. Waste of money for a five-day period. But we had an opening, so I went.
However, I will never return there again. 1982 was good enough. I get further away from that place every day!! I spent 14 years in hell in WA state after I retired from the Army. My aunt told me that there were all kinds of Legal jobs in local firms in Seattle. So, me and my two daughters settled there until I got sick of the place. The only good thing was I met my wife (my 2d one, I traded the first one and got the girls to boot!!!) out there. She worked for Bank of America downtown. After she retired, we headed for my home state of Alabama. She wanted to leave after watching Seattle go to hell all her life there. So, we split. Lots cheaper here over that dump. So, I guess I got my punishment for 14 years.

Rich Californians will establish a second residency in other states with vacation homes and purchase and register their cars there. Guaranteed.
