Metaphorical click bait. Meaning the article is going to trigger Freepers because it says all the right things about government oppression while excluding the neglect of the farmer. So hes been doing this for 25 years, has he never heard of the FDA? Just because it took the feds 25 years to catch up to the guy (typical feds) doesnt mean he shouldn’t have been planning for the inevitable. In our ideal world the fed shouldn’t be bothering this guy. But in the real world, we all could have seen this coming. Why didnt he?
That’s what I am saying on this farmer. I feel for him. I think the laws on farmers are stupid, but I am asking questions to understand why he felt ignoring the laws for so long suddenly made him exempt.
So this guy has been in business for 25 years. Has he ever sickened anyone? Has he ever had a massive recall of food?
How many recalls have “FDA approved” facilities done because of tainted meat? Many FDA inspected slaughterhouses are run by “undocumented persons” who come from cultures where sanitation is not as rigorously enforced.
The purpose of food health laws is to reduce or prevent the selling of tainted products. If this Amish farmer has been doing that for 25 years then what is the problem?
