You should keep in mind that the plaintiffs sued for damages over Alex “claiming” it was all a hoax.
He didn’t harm them, they didn’t have to listen to him or believe him... and they certainly didn’t establish damages caused by him.
This is nothing less than weaponization of the justice system for political dissidents.
If they can do this to Alex Jones, they can do it to anybody, and the truth itself doesn’t even matter.
The precedence IS that NOW given the award against Alex, every other major news media figure is vulnerable to ANYTHING they say that can be deemed to not be true.
I doubt this judgment will hold up at the higher levels of the Texas judicial system. The Texas Supreme Court is dominated by Republicans. Connecticut however might be a different story.
MSM lies over the past six or seven years should be paid for at the same rate they’re charging Jones for his. Bankrupt ‘em all!
The parents that sued look like money-hungry grubs, trying to pad their pockets on the back of their dead children. Adam Lanza destroyed their lives, not anything Alex Jones said after the shooting. The only reason they've gone after Jones is because Lanza killed himself, and there wasn't a public trial where they could get their 15 minutes of fame. Going after Jones is that 15 minutes of fame for them. A big payout is the only motivating factor of the parents here.
Thanks for that info. Didn't know the trial was being held in Texas. Much preferable than the liberal bastion of Connecticut where the shooting occurred. The families of five children and four adults settled for $73 million with Remington, and apparently, two parents tried to sue the town of Newtown, along with the school district. The Judge tossed the suit.
I might not agree with them, but I would defend their right to believe whatever they want. We have enough though police in this country already.

And she got away with telling the families of US Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens; USFS officer Sean Smith; CIA contractors Tyrone S. Woods and Glen Doherty, that it wasn't necessary for them to know how or why their loved ones died.

I see a lot of people here expressing shock and amazement that Jones’ supposed “free speech” was so viciously trampled upon by a Texas jury.
Bear in mind that Melania Trump successfully sued the Daily Mail for publishing lies about her.

So you are okay with Jones trying to ruin the lives of other people, but if someone fights back, it is an outrage?
They had go through enough without being falsely accused of being actors perpetuating a hoax. Do you have no heart for what was done here to these people?

The first amendment allows freedom of speech. Jones can say what he wants, true or not. The left wants to shut down opinions they don’t like and it seems that you agree with them.
