My husband and I just stopped watching Hallmark channels. We were watching one of their movies and two of the male actors kissed. That did it for my hubby. Hallmark used to be more family friendly, had a more Christian bent. They have gone to the dark side. One more programming we will not be watching.
Perfect example of former law enforcement who are now feelings enforcement.
Lessons need to be learned. Now who will teach?
Probably one reason the police shot on patrol number is climbing at an alarming rate. They lost the public perception as the good guys in the urban settings and are rapidly losing the support of the typically pro-police population. As they become seen acting more as the enemy of the people, the continued ambushes and shootings of police are met with a more 'meh' attitude than hero's killed in the line of duty.
Very few cops would sacrifice a six figure pension to protect our rights.
And secondly, the reason hired police officers are not hired in their home towns. The commanders know the officers will not be brutal to the people they have know in their lives. Even firemen are not hired from their home town with a few exceptions.
I was born and raised in England. I moved here as a teenager. It took YEARS before I understood what was the core difference between the USA and *everywhere* else, including the UK, Canada, the rest of Europe, etc.. That difference was COLLECTIVISM vs. INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS. People in the UK believe they have rights - BUT they’re always subjective to the will of the collective. The concept that “individual rights come first and ARE in the best interests of the collective” vs the “collective decides what individual rights are good for you” is the most fundamental difference. As far as I’m aware, this concept is only true in the USA. Collectivism rules everywhere else...and it’s the reason everywhere else believes our 2A is dumb.
When this type of collective thinking exists, it permeates into government, into the mindset of the police. They align with the collective. They are morally correct because the collective says so. Speaking against the collective means you are doing something wrong. Doing something wrong means it must be stopped. They don’t even understand they’ve become the “thought police”.
I’ll point out one other thing...they abandoned Christianity decades ago. Even in the 80’s, few kids had any exposure to Christianity or the Church. Now they’re morally lost. Islam is taking over. Mohammed is the most popular name. LGBTQIA+ rules, the police are fully aligned. They don’t even see the anti-Christian nature of it all.
From a country that practically invented “free speech”, I’m ashamed of how far it has fallen. The only people that seem to be able to cut through the spell are yesterday’s comedians (e.g. John Cleese, Rowan Atkinson, ...) - as they point out what was popular decades ago wouldn’t be allowed now....something has gone wrong.
There are those that see it. Of course they are universally labeled by the media as “far right extremists”, accused of every “ism” and are just horrible people to be ignored. The majority go along with it because virtue signaling is nothing new - it’s just that technology has enabled an instant global reach into our lives. Anything you do can be captured, instantly shared, and instantly condemned globally.
These police are brainwashed fools that believe they are absolutely morally correct to stop such opinions. In the UK it has been established into law. Hate speech laws are evil.
When I visit the UK (family & friends) I can taste the difference and it has become stronger as each decades passes, yet they don’t see it. If I try to explain I know they’ll just think I’ve become some “crazy American”.
This can’t continue and will not end well.
My wife still watches Hallmark. However, she avoids the homo movies. For the most part, the non homo movies are fairly wholesome. She mainly watches the mysteries and Murder She Wrote reruns.
And according to the Pride of South Carolina Republicans, one Lindsey [Linda]Graham he was brave while murdering her. And he bravely today goes about his daily affairs wirh no fear of retribution or of having to face Justice for his murderous deed, Lindsey [Linda]Graham he was brave while murdering her.
