I’d say he shouldn’t have the over-the-toe things on the pedals. Isn’t that what his foot caught on and caused the spill?
My wife and I bike but we’re not speed or endurance demons.
I have my seat adjusted high so my legs are straight when the pedal is all the way down. Gotta pay attention when getting on or off the bike.
Joe, you have to master climbing stairs first before you get on a bike. This one is going to be going around for a few days. It is too funny for the mainstream media to conceal it from other alternative media sources,

I’m fighting tooth and nail to retain the capability to ride my also old 1970’s steel road bike. It will be a sad day when I have to give it up, but I hope I don’t find out my limitations the hard way.

I and many other experienced motorcyclists have done that. The rider gets distracted or gets a pant cuff stuck in the brake mechanism.
I despise Brandon as much as anyone here. In fairness, though, he had his foot in a toe cage and forgot to pull it out when he stopped because he was concentrating on the people. Therefore, his foot was trapped when he tried to put it down on the ground to support himself. I have gotten distracted and forgotten to unclip from my pedals upon stopping a few times. It’s a terrible feeling when you realize you’re going over and there’s nothing you can do about it. It has always resulted in a scrape or two.
He was demonstrating the soft landing we can expect as predicted by his economic advisers.

Don’t know why, but he didn’t spread his legs far enough for stabilization and the high center of gravity took over. His handlers should not let him anywhere near machinery.
