Meanwhile, the US ISW says Russia has shot its wad in Luhansk and has insufficient forces in place to take on Donetsk oblast.
Yet just yesterday Russia introduced 20 new Battalion Tactical Groups to Donetsk. 15,000 fresh, well armed and supplied troops. This in addition to the Artillery Regiments still in place.
I don’t know which term better applies: Meat Grinder or Cauldron.
However, I'm not so sure Russia thought this would be easy.
Consider that Russia watched the Western "repair" of Yugoslavia, moving on to the merciless NATO bombing of Serbia, and the NATO/UN Ethnic Cleansing of Kosovo and the murder of Christians by agents for an Islamic Caliphate.
Then, when Russia had regrouped and recovered enough to be somewhat effective, they put a stop to the Neocon expansion of the Caliphate by Georgia, into South Ossetia.
There they learned it was not going to be easy, and that the West's Agents would flee from defeat in Georgia to Ukraine.
Add to that what they learned internally from the Second Chechen War.
I don't think Russia expected easy pickings.
“No rest until Odessa and Kharkiv are liberated”
Each of them will be a legendary battle.
Wait until that new Wonder Weapons come on line. There will not be any Allies or Allied ships left south of Antwerp.
(Same delusion, different war.)
See 24.
I'm both puzzled and highly amused by your fetish.
I’m afraid the Russians as “orcs” have pretty much taken hold. I’ve read this description from Ukrainian front line sources. Who came up with the comparsion, who knows
but it’s taken root.
Me, personality think it should be orcs vs. goblins.
And America stay out of it.
Nah, they’re not orcs, they’re either Sauron or Sarumon.
The hand controlling the puppets.
BS. There are a lot of other people involved here besides the US and Russia. Almost all of these are more deeply invested in Ukrainian liberty, and hold a more realistic fear of Russia than the Americans.
The arguments here are infected with American domestic politics, to the point of fantasies about the nature of the world. You Americans hate each other so much that many of you cant see straight. You imagine that dozens of countries with a vast range of disparate interests are bound up in some manichaean global struggle. There is no value in that conceptual frame.
In the US what you have is a war between castes, or not exactly a class war, but something closer to Hutu-Tutsi tribal conflict. The “leaders” in this are more driven than leading.
There are no masterminds or plans, just a lot of confused charlatans afraid of their own followers. The reality is simply chaos, and it could never have been anything else. It sucks to be American these days.
This has nothing directly to do with the problem of Russia vs Ukraine, other than that, probably, US weakness prompted Putin to take an absurd gamble. There are fantasies over there too.
This will not be resolved by the US no matter what it does, and it IS likely to draw in other players, depending on how it goes. The die is cast (by Putin), and the US will not be able to do anything about subsequent events.
Putin should have done this back in 2014. When he liberated Crimea.
You are just trying to kill an internet wide meme and truth (if they behave like Orcs, then they are Orcs)
Nice! Which one is you?
Rumors are they were destroyed before even making it to the battlefield.
The reality of the world is that it is the orcs driving Sauron and Saruman before them. There are no masterminds, just idiots in power doing what seems expedient at the moment, creating consequences requiring yet more expedient decisions shortly after. All the while trying to pacify their orcs.
So you CAN type with one hand and pleasure yourself with the other. I am impressed.
He was a Mongoloid. He was a Mongoloid and happier than you and me...
I think it’s starting to occur to them what happens if Russia wins and then turns its eyes on to the countries that have been supplying weapons
Yeah dehumanizing the enemy was always a propaganda tactic
The CIA and Alphabet Agency bullies have sowed hate and discontent in a lot more places than Ukraine, so there are a lot more knives out for 'em than Russian.
