You’re absolutely right. That argument is downright idiot to me. How one party reacts to a situation does not mean another party is going to react the same way.

I was one of the biggest fans on this site of Frontpage News and David Horowitz. I feel sadness reading this badly deluded article.
The US has suffered greatly trying to be the world’s policeman. There is absolutely no real evidence that even if Russia had conquered most of Europe or China reconstituted the Middle Kingdom, the US would be in any existential danger. The fact is no nuclear armed country has ever been conventionally invaded, lost territory or been forced into an unfavorable peace. Young men from America should not die doing a job that young Europeans won’t do. America has spent trillions of dollars and lost thousands of men since WW II in foreign adventures with little or nothing to show for it. If anything the foreign interventions have weakened America in many ways.Good luck to Ukraine but not really my fight.

“Isolationist” is used here as a pejorative term. But the opposite of an isolationist is an interventionist, which is much worse.

I don’t remember Buchanan arguing with Carlson. I always thought Michael Kinsley would pop a vein, but don’t remember Carlson in that role.
Russia under the Czars, was much worse than Russia under Putin, the US didn’t seem to have a problem with it then.
Got that right, every Bush and Bush League Republican needs to be expunged from the GOP if it’s ever going to be a real opposition party.
