I doubt he pays the $1 billion if the company isn’t materially as presented.

So true. I pray this is a decimation of the leftist propaganda that we have been subjected to for years now. I also pray that people open their eyes and quit falling for all the lies, and no longer run over the cliff like Lemmings without even thinking through what they believe

I don’t think the real problem is the percent of accounts that are bits, it’s the number of posts they make.

Musk offered to buy at $54.20 a share, and now share price is $36.42. Musk either walks (that will cost him $1 billion) or he buys at the new valuation.

Jon, the share price is now $45, where did you get the $36 number?

I agree that Musk will beat up the board {and lower his offer} over the number of fake accounts.

What of utmost importance to the Looney Left is to feel good about themselves. Doing tangible good usually takes work. To the Looney Left, it’s easiest to lie to make themselves feel good, so truth be damned.

I think it will be a mix of options 2 and 3. I never thought Elon was legitimately buying the company so I don’t think there will be another deal struck at a lesser amount. That’s just my opinion on that but none of his previous actions pointed to him seeing value in Twitter. When it came out that he first bought 9% he said Twitter’s dying, and that the company is filled with fake accounts and Bots and that there’s no interaction with real people. He tweeted all of this

I get that but if 25-30% of the accounts are fake, could it be 50% of the posts are fake as well ??

What I’m saying is what others have already said, Twitter could be nothing more than a mirage of a relatively small number of liberals producing a huge volume of posts all meant to drive a narrative

and it made the Dems go hard left and out of touch

in a way it’s good then

If you asked me over both FB/Twitter....I would take a logical guess that 10-percent of the accounts are fake, and contrived in a way to interest advertisers. Instagram? I’d take a guess it’s double on fake accounts.

But in this modern world...what is not fake? Subscribers to the NY Times? Probably 20-percent go to some NJ landfill address. Registered voters in the city of SF? Probably 10-to-20 percent are fake.

If I was Elon, I’d be talking to those two high level execs they just fired.

“Remember when Rush Limbaugh got a lot heat over something he said and was subject to a massive campaign on Twitter attacking his advertisers trying to get him shut down ??? He had the money to hire a team of people to investigate what was happening, the conclusion was the entire effort was led by 5-10 people controlling hundreds if not thousands of Bots all designed to push a narrative about his show.”

I certainly do, and even after doing all of that research, he still lost half of his advertisers - they simply wouldn’t believe him, and instead believed the Tweets and emails. But Rush, of course, won in the end, as he had a rule that once an advertiser leaves his show in response to leftists, they could NEVER come back. That’s why you never heard another Sleep Number advertisement after the Sandra Fluck garbage. And like every other company that left him, their sales nose-dived after leaving his show and never recovered.

Fake bot accounts is just part of the deal. There is also the massive inflation of followers for Leftist accounts like Barack Obama’s. Are all of those fake accounts allocated to people like Obama, or do they just inflate his numbers and undercount those of conservatives? Bots would account for inflating the Left, but the undercount on the Right is another matter. It’s all based on deceit, just a matter of how they are doing it. Musk obviously has reason to believe that the fake accounts are greater than 5%.

I had a feeling all along this was a ploy for Musk to destroy twitter by revealing the massive amount of fake accounts it has then backing out.

“ Me personally, I’d like for Elon to drop them and trigger an exodus of participants overnight.”
And, the huge volume of lawsuits. It may have been Musk’s plan all along to expose the fraud at Twitter.
