Its not that simple.
The "old timers" starting with Clinton and Tony Blair definitely were definitely Fabians, their "Third Way" initiative for governance is based on nudging society in the correct (in their view) direction via incremental regulations issued by the numerous alphabet soup agencies that now actually make our laws.
But I think that era ended with Barak Obama, and the Democrat shift to "bold action" under canard of correcting the "evils of western society" is accelerating exponentially and irreversibly.
However, both Democrat socialist camps rightly claim FDR's New Deal as their touchstone, since his presidency stealthily installed our current unconstitutional administrative state, and have become so intrenched they cannot be removed without a complete reset and replacement of our current Federal Government by a new Convention of States.
This more like prophecy than satire.

I’m going to take the opposite side of most people here. I thought it was a cute parody song, even though it was complete BS. If some of our people did the same song but included lines about disinformation by Humper Biden and The Big Guy, Governor “death camp” Cuomo, the FBI’s fake kidnapping of Michigan’s governor and (of course) Dr. “Killing Beagles and breeding viruses” Fauci we would be laughing our butts off.
These people are brilliant. They expose evil with humor.

Wait, I thought Babylon Bee was supposed to be a satire site? This is spot on.
The Bee might as well just get press credentials from the government. Virtually everything that they publish has so much truth in it that they have more credibility than the existing mainstream media.
With regard to the subject at hand, all that I can say is that we should make Orwell’s “1984” fiction again.
