I’m trying to remember if I welcomed Marcus to FR or not?
Hi Marcus.
5.56mm
I see what you mean. I was thinking the same thing.
“but stop pretending Russia just woke up one day and decided to go invade. This is Bosnia 2.0.”
You are assuming facts not in evidence. Perhaps your comment was directed to someone else, and was sent to me by mistake.
Russia was on the side of the NVA.
They provided weapons, training and financial support that killed our men in Vietnam.
Just thought everyone should remember that.
Karma is a BITCH Vlad.
‘died the death of the brave in battle against Ukrainian nationalists’
Perish the thought, A Ukrainian who loves his country who is minding his own business in his own country needs to be battled against....
P.S. Thanks.
How many 50-mile days in a row, on behalf of (even then) a serious religious fanatic? Each day followed by digging in, fortifying, and battle the next day, perhaps with no water or rations? And then, another 50 miles? (Jackson rode, he didn’t walk.)
Even since the event, the death of Gen. Jackson was considered a possible “fragging.”
The man was so fanatical that even though his death (by a bullet from his own side) took days of pure agony to kill him, he would not use the only known, available anesthesia: whiskey.
Because he had promised his mother, when he was a young child, he’d never touch alcohol.
Stonewall Jackson was hard core, “hoo yah!”
But some of his troops might have been less thrilled at the prospect of another 50 mile forced march, entrenching, and battling, on little or no food or water, day after day
History is fascinating. Now, there is a “Stonewall Jackson SHRINE” in Old Virginny.
“when the legend becomes fact, print the legend”
I wonder what his troops would think.
When was that? Are you still up for bombing Vietnam? How about Germany and Japan?
Ukrainians have some crack shot snipers!😎
So the Russians were actually acting on Soros behalf, covering Hunter's Burisma tracks and Xiden's bioweapon lab tracks.
Botched post? Hardly. Why, you're a genius!
How many general did the USA lose in all of WW II? Korea? Vietnam?
Or someone is tracking these guys by Satellite and is either feeding the Ukes the data or doing the zapping themselves. This is not normal.
@stavridisj put it well. “They have more generals in the ground than on the ground”
It is amazing how many freepers can misconstrue someone’s post.
Answer: During all of World War II, the USA lost 4 Generals from hostile fire, maybe 2x that number from airplane crashes, and 3 Admirals.
Russia is on an extraordinary pace. I guess we should be happy with the decimation of military leadership as this should reduce the current threat ex-Ukraine. OTOH I’m sure they benefit from weeding out the incompetents.
About 40 in WWII. 2 in Korea. And about a dozen in Vietnam.
One on 9/11. And one in Afghanistan.
You made a claim that is unverifiable
Not trolling. Just pointing out the obvious
You are right, my totals did not include the Brigadiers.
