There's a lot wrong with many of our agricultural practices, but pasture-raised beef isn't among them.
You can compare pigs to dogs, I care about the price of pork at the store. At my store you can get a nice picnic roast for $1.29/LB. With left overs I’ve made a delicious Instant Pot Pork Stew, Braised New Mexico-Style Pork in Red Chile Sauce (Carne Adovada) and Pork Enchiladas.

My wife tried a veggie burger at Applebees once. She spit out the only bite she tried — something about the texture being way off.

Gates wants the western world eating lab-created foods while setting up centralization of beef industries in Africa (and China) using his wealth to purchase european-improved herd genetics to increase herds in those countries at the expense of Western beef production.
Bingo.. they can only genetically modify an animal so much before it dies. Plants allow almost unlimted modification.
In addition most nutrients are only bioavaiable after being first peocessed through an animal.thats why they all look sick, they are.

I got a Brookshires, a Mercado, and a Mennonite farm all within 10 miles. The Mennonites have beef, chicken and rabbit. The Mercado has dang near everything. Brookshires always has ribs and loins.

Same reaction I have to almost anything I try at Applebee’s. They went through a phase a few years ago where their food was much better, but based upon recent experience they’ve gone downhill again.

Went to a summer party, a cookout. I knew it would be full of libs (teachers) so I wore my NRA hat. Guy came up and thought that was a great gag, laughed, and asked me where I got it. “I’m a member”, I told him. He still didn’t know if I was pulling his leg or not. “Do you hunt?”, he asked. “I don’t much want to, but I have to.” Now he’s really getting confused. “Whadda ya mean you have to?” “Well they won’t just come in and give themselves up ya know. That would be much more convenient. Like your steaks and burgers here.”
He wrinkled his brow, cocked his head to his right, squinted his eyes at me, looked at me maybe 3-4 seconds, straightened up, and walked away without saying another word. I smiled, turned away, and went to try out the potato salad, baked beans, and other goodies.

I have tried the beyond meat brand.
Surprised it did taste like beef, really good beef. Made the best taco’s with it.
Problem though is it maintains the “flame broiled” flavoring. So depending on what you are making from it, it can over-power the recipe.
Later that night I started having extremely progressive thinking though. Odd side-effect.
