You’re preaching logic to a cult which truly believes the US Constitution outlines citizens’ rights, rather than limiting government.

To quote one of my favorite movies,

“When you have to shoot, SHOOT. Don’t talk.”

How can one tell when a citizen first owned an accessory for a fire arm? Are all the magazines in the state registered? So Walter over here is 35 years old and has .40 caliber semi-auto handgun with a 12 round magazine in it. He is questioned about it and says, “That’s grandfathered. I owned it before the ban went into place.”

How would they know different?

What if I move to Washington next year and I bring my tools with me? How do they police that?

This is a symbolic, incremental, political base appeasement measure.

So give them away with the purchase of a gun or ammunition.

I live in MA. They passed this here years ago.

The solution: Buy per-ban magazines. I don’t think I know anyone in MA with an AR 15 that doesn’t have a few per-ban mags.

This solves nothing.

The big stores won’t ship them to the state. We have to deal with this in MA.

Ours is more strict. You are not even supposed to own high capacity mags that were made after the original AWB in 1994.

But old pre ban mags are available everywhere.

Its a stupid rule and people laugh about it at the gun range.

You are correct. People will buy a bunch of 30 round mags until the ban goes into effect, then bury them in containers till needed. After that, go out and buy a bunch or 10 round mags and tape them together. Whala, a hybrid 20 round mag.

Unbelievable how stupid these policies are.

I foresee an up tick in firearm magazine sales in Idaho towns along the state line.

These clowns know enough to do these things incrementally. Next will be banning the “possession” of these magazines. I live in WA.
From my cold, dead hands Inslee, you POS.

signed legislation Wednesday that bans the SALE of ammunition magazines holding more than 10 rounds.

Gun stores should respond by giving them away free with any gun purchase....

So just order them through the mail?

I would imagine most mail-order places keep track of states that ban standard-capacity magazines and simply won’t ship them to you. If you bring them in from another state where they are legal you are violating the ‘importing’ part of the law, but since magazines don’t carry date of manufacture, you can likely get away with it.

Dimslee and the Dhimmicrats can do whatever they want - and so can I. I won’t submit and may God help the fool that tries to separate me from my constitutionally-protected property.

The Ninth Circuit Court of appeals already struck down restrictions on magazine sizes in California.

People in Oregon used to do road trips to California to buy Coors beer. No big deal for Washingtonians to zip down to Portland for some PMags.
