Lowering the speed limit won’t -substantially- improve the gas mileage of modern automobiles; the aerodynamics are SO much better than they were 45 years ago. And a lot of those improvements you won’t see unless you go UNDER a modern car.

Yes, my local gas station has raised gas by 60 cents a gallon in about 4 steps over the past week. At that rate, we will soon see prices that force people off the roads and more huge price increases for food.
