When I first saw the Proud Boys I thought, "finally, someone with energy to stand up for our side". Don't get me wrong - I love the community at FreeRepublic but what is the mean age of posters here? 60? 65?

Here in the Pacific Northwest we've been plagued with unchecked mayhem by pAntifa - until the emergence of PB. They have been the only significant pushback and for that they earned my appreciation. Appreciation but not loyalty (loyalty is harder earned). They were rough n ready but I liked their style.

When it was revealed in the wake of the Jan6 rally that some members of the leadership of PB were working as CI's for the feds, I withdrew some of that support. And when the rest of the leadership failed to denounce the treachery I withdrew the rest.

So PB, as individuals and as an organization, are welcome to do whatever they want but I maintain a firewall between myself and them.

What I see in the video is a drunken azzhole attacking someone. What I don't see is what happened in the minutes before the video starts. I doubt that it would make much difference. His drunken demeanor coupled with his casual utterance of the N-bomb coupled with a seemingly unprovoked assault paints a pretty detestable picture. In short, he's exactly the type I keep at arms length.
