The White House said President Biden would soon issue an executive order that would ban new investment, trade and financing by US people and entities in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

Does that include any business dealings of Hunter Biden?

They are breakaway regions because the vast majority of the population is Russian. The reason for this action is because he doesn't want Americans to get any ideas about breaking away from the swamp dwellers in the Deep State.

While I fully understand that Ukraine has their own language, history and culture, it is not in America's self-interest to break ethnic Russians to the saddle of the Ukrainian majority elsewhere in the country.

And these sanctions serve what purpose against a band of separatists that control most all of both the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. These regions have already succeeded from Kieve governance and have been allied with the Kremlin for years! Putin is formally recognizing these regions as autonomous and telling the world he plans on accepting them into the Russian federation.

Luhansk and Donetsk regions do this by their own voluntary act Putin is making sure they break away without interference.

Are these separatists violating Ukraine sovereignty and constitution by their intended succession? Probably, but so what? Not our problem, it’s Kiev’s problem.

So... just how is the separatists regions of south-eastern Ukraine any of the worlds business, let alone that American’s couldn’t care less that pro-Russian regions of Ukraine want independence so they can freely join the Russian federation.

Bumbling Biden is a fool. It’s his flailing efforts to shore up his tanked polling numbers.

Stay clear of the shift in Ukraine borders and internal strife. It’s none of our damned business.

Biden knows that most of the electorate are blithering idiots, and they’ll believe when the media tells them this was a “brilliant” move on his part.

So nothing to punish Russia, only sanctions that force those regions into economic dependence on Russia.

Sounds like the fix was in.

“The White House said President Biden would soon issue an executive order that would ban new investment, trade and financing by US people and entities in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.”

He doesn’t have the authority unless we are at war. And we aren’t and won’t be unless congress declares war walking right into the middle of a civil war not related to us. It is un-Constitutional.

https://sgp.fas.org/crs/misc/R44707.pdf

The U.S. Constitution, through the Commerce Clause, gives Congress exclusive power over trade activities between the states and with foreign countries.

As I understand it, most of the people in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions would rather be a part of Russia than be a part of Ukraine. If that’s true, let them.

Hey bro, time to update your username. "libertylover" doesn't really work anymore.

with perhaps a possibility of a side bonus for biden in that he can begin to blame the rising us inflation on the ukraine situation— useless liberal idiots in the usa would in this scenario take up the cry, and use it to deflect criticism of biden economic policy.

If Putin stops oil export to this country we will see 8 to 10 dollar a gallon gas.

Simply by the panic that would create.

LGB’s sanctions against Russia are meaningless! This is a face saving gesture because he got his a$$ handed to him and lost big time because Russian military advantages and his own corrupt dealings! Won’t hurt Russia at all.

Does anyone think that the U.S. government wouldn’t come down like a ton of bricks on Texas if it were to declare independence?
