homas Piketty will argue that the right answer lies in ending Western arrogance and promoting a new emancipatory and egalitarian horizon on a global scale, a new form of democratic and participatory, ecological and post-colonial socialism. If they stick to their usual lecturing posture and a dated hyper-capitalist model, Western countries may find it extremely difficult to meet the Chinese challenge.
Well, that hits all the right buttons. Most Democrats will eat this up, along with half the Republicans.
in April 2017, Donald Trump sat down to dinner with Xi Jinping after giving the order to bomb a Syrian air base. Trump knew the base would be destroyed about the time of desert. Xi was told about it shortly thereafter to a surprised look. Trump later took out Qasem Soleimani before he could launch a major attack on America. Trump also crippled China with economic warfare. You did not hear a peep out of Iran, North Korea or China until Biden got into office. Also, China got hold of Nancy to find out if we were going to bomb them after evidence came out that Covid came from China. Now our think tanks are saying we need to adopt Communism to beat China. What a difference a year makes.
